A/N: I made some faint changes to this chapter and 09, enjoy!

———-

You fidgeted with your fingers, trying to be calm in this situation. Clearly, anything could go wrong, especially since you two haven't quite gone to that level yet. You clearly have an issue of if this is true or not, but this can be the only shot you get at getting a little affirmation. You try getting ready. And luckily for you, this book doesn't just give you an outfit! You pick your own! Go dope or casual, I don't think it matters later on.

Oh? Did I get off topic? Sorry.

COUGH CAH AHEM.. You still were excited. This could go well!

You pick out [whatever outfit you want] and set it aside for later. Afterwards, there was a knock on the door. You stepped out of your room, stepping downstairs to find your Aunt already opening the door.

"Hey, kiddo!" Your Aunt says. "Your little friend wants to talk to you."

"Player?" You tilt your head, approaching the door. Player pops their head into the doorway right on cue.

"Hey!" They waved. "I know we uh.. said tomorrow we'd go to the.. place but.."

 "But...?"

"We didn't set a time." Player scratched the back of his head.

 "...We didn't what."

And so after getting an actual TIME straight and place, also Player leaving afterwards, you'd see each other then.

 For real this time.

------

You stepped in your [very cool and chosen by you] shoes, you met Player near the store, for some odd reason.

Player seemed to be wearing some oversized sweater in the back, but hearing your footsteps, he turns, showing a buttoned burgundy shirt and some black pants to go with it.

 "Hey! Again." Player smiled.

"Oh, hey!" You waved. "You look great."

"Thanks!" Player put his hands behind his back. "You look good too."

You then take a look around the area. It seemed barren, only grass and the long stray of trees outside. The only thing nearby in the distance was the Store.

"Where's the Diner, exactly?" You ask, still turning your head from side to side to look.

"Well, it's a little secret." Player explains. "This may sound weird, but I want you to close your eyes."

 "Uh, why?"

"Because trust me, it's a huge secret! And I want it to be a bit of a surprise, since I might introduce somebody to you." Player says, swaying from side to side with his arms behind his back.

"Well, okay." You shrug. You cover your eyes with your too hands and close them shut with your eyelids (If you have any /j).

"Now, hold out one of your hands." Player says.

"..Okay.." You obey, holding out one hand, and covering your two eyes with your free arm. You feel a hand grip onto it. At first, you walk. It felt like grass. The steps crunched beneath your feet. Then, it turned into steps, due to Player saying "Careful!" You couldn't hear anything while walking them, or even FEEL them.

"I can't hear anything, Player. Don't you think this is dangerous?" You say, still covering your eyes.

"No worries! I gotcha!" Player reassures you.

You get more nervous as you hear sounds you haven't heard before. The sound of talking, of cars, of flames, of chips?

You truly want to open your eyes, to see what all these sounds are. Then, finally, you descend down from the invisible floors, and step onto something more wooden, more firm.

This is when Player finally says, "Aaaannnd, open them!"

You open your eyes to a casual Diner. A Diner with lovely little lights, and something that looks small, yet wooden, pretty clean, and pretty. The inside of the Diner wasn't very visible from all the lights, though. The sky, however, was the weirdest thing. There was.. quite literally, no sky, no stars, no nothing.

As if this place is... unfinished, at best.

"Cool, right?" Player asks, stepping closer to the Diner.

"Yeah.. really pretty." You reply. You couldn't take your eyes off of it.

"Wanna head in and get this thing started?" Player grins, backing up to the door and opening it. "You first, of course." As the door opens, calm and soothing music plays from the inside. You smile, heading headfirst into the Diner.
