TW: sensitive poem, mention of self-harm [some other triggering words are used once or twice so please be aware] and blood

Everyone has scars...

everyone has a past that is buried deep inside them...

In this judgemental society, all we can do is hide them...

...small 5 years old to a 70 old can have scars...

Their scars

The one that gave them pain

Self-harm...

Abuse...

death...

bullying...

anything...

that they went through...

some are visible to the naked eye...

some are so deeply hidden...

that no one can see them...no one even tried to...

People come and go

some give us happiness...

some give us deep scars...

these can be healed...

with your inner strength and some help from others...

some are so deep, that those marks remind us of our dark and horrific past...

even when we try to heal, and avoid them...

but running away is not an option...if we did...

then those living nightmares will come back...

at the most unexpected moments...

broke your healed self into pieces...

again...

That girl also remembers many bad things when she looks at her wrist...

those actions...

the state she was in...

her deepest secrets...

Hidden safely in a box filled with papers and letters...

in darkness, out of anyone's reach...

for her to see when she, at last, overcome those scars forever

and never go that way again...

for her to feel how strong and courageous she was and still is...

for her to smile and feel that braveness

and to have that feeling...

that she saw others feel when they overcame their scars...

that special feeling...

Proudness
