"so this will be your room," Mark opened the door to reveal a very simple spare room, with a double bed a set of draws, a mirror and plain white walls, "uh its not much now but obviously, we can go out shopping and get some decorations for it and we can also get you some clothes aswell." mark looked down at her, to see her with a wide smile.
"thank you," she grinned, she had never had her own room before, normally having to share with people.
"Alright kid, we'll leave at 10:00 tomorrow, Lexie, Callie and Arizona will come with us. For now you can borrow some of Lexies clothes, and you can sleep in these." He hands her one of his shirts and a pair of shorts, "if you need anything, I will be down the hall."
"Thank you," she repeated.
"It's no problem kid, goodnight."
"Goodnight." She smiled at him before walking into the room. She had a home.

The next morning, Marina awoke to a knocking on her door.
"Yeah?" She called out sleepily, her throat croaky and her eyes blurred.
"It's time to get up, kid." Mark called through, "I've left a towel and some of lexies clothes outside the door."
"Thank you!"
Mark shook his head, when was she going to stop thanking him for every little thing? It made him feel even more guilty about abandoning her. He should be the one thanking her for giving him a second chance, grovelling for her forgiveness and here she was thanking him for putting a roof over her head and some food when that's what he should of been doing in the first place.
He sighed before walking into the kitchen, he smiled when he saw Lexie cooking. "Hey," he wrapped his arms around her waist.
"Hey," she smiled a little tightly. She was unsure about having Marina live with them. She obviously knew that she was Mark's daughter and she was in need of help, she didn't want to kick her out she just didn't know if she was ready. She wasn't prepared for the responsibility having a teenager live with her brung. She wasn't ready, but she loved Mark.
"Um, so would you mind taking her shopping today? I've got to go to the hospital."
"Mark..." Lexie began, "fine. But you can't just pass her off. She's your daughter."
"I know. I know. It's just for today." Mark leant down and kissed her on the cheek, "thank you."

Marina had a big grin on her face as her and lexie walked back into the apartment, she had had the best day. she had never been able to do anything like this before.
Mark's face dropped as he watched the two walk in with more bags then he could count. how much had they spent? "Hey, guys..."
"hey, mark!" they both greeted in unison.
"what's all this?"
"Marina's new stuff, we got some new clothes, some shoes, some jewellry, some decor for her room and all the essentials," lexie explained.
"Thank you," Marina smiled.
"why don't you go put all your new stuff away?" lexie passed over the bags and Marina struggled to take them to her room. "The next time you say youre going to spend the day with her, do it." she walked off to their room.
