In the eyes of his foster brothers; Jack and Crow, it's so obvious that Yusei likes you – a lot.

Yusei has a limited knowledge and vague idea of what romantic love is. All he knew was the love he received from his foster mother, Martha, who taught and cared for him as a child. As he grew up, he went away from the orphanage and looked for the path he wanted to walk on. Thanks to the birthmark he has on his arm, Yusei was glad to be given a chance to be closer and bond to his two foster brothers like years ago. He clearly loved and cared for the people in his life yet the emotions and feelings he has towards you suggests otherwise.

You were someone who suddenly appeared in front of him. A friend of Aki from school who brought you along on her visits with the four men once the two of you were close enough. Aki is a genius in dueling and school in general, as she's the top of your grade while you were a programming genius who's average at school. You had great interest in machines since childhood and had been learning coding by mostly watching it from the internet, then later on deciding to pursue a profession in the future. Aki, bless her soul, was the one to introduce you to the men as she thought that with your skills can you help Yusei and Bruno with their work-in-progress software that is clearly taking a toll in their health, only eating instant ramen or chugging down energy drinks down on their throats for the whole day.

–So of course you gladly helped them two, pulling an all-nighter with them as the three of you worked tirelessly on the program. After a whole day of writing a code for the software, and god fuck that was in C++, and forgetting to back-up the whole thing which led to it being stolen by Yeager while the three of you were passed out and only discovering it the next day.

It's been weeks before the start of WRGP and you've been growing nervous for the team as Aki also let you know that she's also participating as a substitute for Crow for the first round. You've been telling her that you're supporting her and the team, which brings a smile on her face. Which brings you to your current situation right now: You come over to Yusei's house to check out about things because you're a nervous wreck for them.

The garage was open when you arrived, peeking your head inside as you saw three men standing around Jack's Wheel of Fortune and discussing what they have to improve with it. Yusei and Bruno were discussing some parts of the motorcycle, while Jack stood there and also voiced his thoughts and concerns. It took a while for them to notice you, but it was Yusei who first did as he felt someone staring from outside.

"(Name)?" Yusei called, a little surprised from your sudden presence. The other two looked up to your direction as they heard your name come out from Yusei's mouth, confirming if it was really you out there. Bruno smiled at you, greeting you while Jack acknowledged your presence with a glance before speaking, "Come in, you look like an idiot standing there."

"Wow," was the first thing you muttered ever since you arrived at their place, "meanie." you continued as you walked to the three of them and handed them the box of sweets from your hands. "Here you go, sugar will help with thinking."

Yusei took the box from your hands, "You know you don't have to, (Name)." he said with a little surprised look on his face. You quickly noticed Yusei's expression in which you answered, "Don't worry about it, I want to help you guys as much as possible."

"A little bit of sugar won't hurt, Yusei." Bruno said behind the said man and took the box from his hand, presumably opening the box and taking a look at the treats offered at him. Jack followed along, leaving you with Yusei as the two of you started to discuss their preparations for the tournament.

"I heard the situation from Aki, I'm sorry for what happened to Crow.." you trailed off, before being interrupted by the said man upstairs telling you to not be like that and went downstairs to see whatever the fuck Bruno and Jack were doing as you and Yusei continued the discussion. "At least it's good to see him energetic?"
