Chapter 2: Muttsu no kokoro ga gattai! (Six Hearts United!)

Monday, midday. 11th March 20xx

The first couple days or so of the excursion revolved around looking for clues about what this temple could be all about, and otherwise testing out their new elemental abilities. The chapter itself begins with Kylo and Athena walking around the perimeter of the temple itself; well, Kylo is walking; Athena is pacing back and forth, looking at the various details and such with immense eagerness and curiosity, and Kylo is... essentially trying to keep her from bursting into an energetic flame.

[Athena]: "Oh my god oh my god oh my god, this is so amazing!"

[Kylo]: As previously mentioned, he's basically trying to keep Athena from harming herself, utilising static electricity as a means of keeping her from falling down "Athena, please be careful; I know you're, well, really excited about this expedition, and having fire magic and whatever, but maybe you should tone it down a bit?"

[Athena]: but Athena would just give Kylo a slightly pouty face in response "Come on Kylo Ren, don't be a spoilsport! This is an amazing opportunity and we should at least make the most of it!"

[Kylo]: slightly annoyed but happy she's enjoying it, he just rolls his eyes and shakes his head, smiling slightly "Alright, alright. But just, try not to get injured, alright?"

[Athena]: "Hey, what's the worst that could happe-?"

Aaaand just before she could finish, she had walked straight into a glimmering, garnet red statue of... a phoenix? Around it would be 5 other statues, each in the same hexagonal formation that the altars containing the crystals they had previously located were in, each with their own animal or being representing them. Accompanying this phoenix statue would be a citrine yellow statue of an unicorn, a sapphire cerulean mermaid, an opal white griffin, a topaz light blue dragon and a jade green minotaur... but what could it mean?

[Athena]: "Holy sh-"

[Kylo]: Kylo would shush Athena, knowing what she was about to say "Language, but I can see where you're coming from"

[Athena]: Athena wouldn't be mad; she just gives Kylo the pouty look again, but who cares? This is a huge discovery; but to her, the beauty would be the focus "Hey-! I mean, yeah, like, they're so beautiful !"

[Kylo]: Kylo nods in response, choosing to walk around the statues observantly, weaving in and out and seeing if there are any texts to read or have deciphered. "So are we just going to ignore the possible significance behind these statues?"

[Athena]: She breaks her focus on the statues, turning back to face Kylo "The what what behind the what?"

[Kylo]: "Just think about it. There are six statues, and six of us, minus Lucinda of course."

[Athena]: "So? Maybe it's a coincidence?" Said Athena, confusedly shrugging in response

[Kylo]: "Yes, that's what I thought; until you acknowledge the colours in question; Yellow, blue, white, light blue, red and green; the same colours of the crystals that Grant, Melanie, Luka, myself, you and Aven respectively picked up, as are the colours of our bracelets and necklaces."

[Athena]: "Ohhh... they're pretty statues though!"

[Kylo]: Kylo sighs in response, though he reckons Athena has a point "Well, I suppose you're right." Kylo responds, before pulling out his phone to snap some pictures of the statues, sending them to the group text chat. "Whoever made these must have had quite the eye for good art. These seem to be from, what, maybe a few hundred years or more ago?"
