AMONG THE seven archons, [name] was the most favored by celestia. celestia, which ruled over teyvat, which ruled over the common earth. of course, [name] never asked to be the chosen one, but it seems that not everything on this earth was precisely her choice.

[name] couldn't exactly remember where she came from. one day, she seemed to just open her eyes, and be living.

but what exactly did it mean to live? life was carefree at first, but quickly turned arduous. [name] couldn't actually recall any moments that people described as 'childhood' in her memories, but rather, her earlier evocations consisted of bloodshed, and war.

the archon war was a terrifying sight to behold.

after only about a decade or so of experiencing 'life', [name] found themselves vying for one of the seven seats of celestia. however, all minor gods, whether powerful or weak, were also striving for the same object of appeal, and crimson liquid stained teyvat.

if there was one thing [name] did not regret, it was meeting guizhong. sweet, loving, kind guizhong, who somehow stuck around, even with [name]'s harsh, biting personality.

"it's alright, [name]. i'm not here to tell you to change your personality. either way, your sort of personality is a good one to have in this day and age anyways, right?" guizhong would laugh, as an antsy [name] kneeled in front of her, allowing the woman to braid her hair. if guizhong had stood up in that particular moment, and moved in front of [name] to see her face, it would've been flushed red as an apple, eyes nervously averting contact.

if there was one person that deserved to live forever, in eternal happiness, it would be guizhong. of course it wouldn't be [name], how could [name] ever pick herself? selfish was a word fitting of [name], but how could [name] ever pick themselves when guizhong was right there?

but of course, all good things come to an end. it was foolish of [name] to forget that she was not the only person reaching for celestia, reaching for power. and, most foolish of all, she was an idiot to forget that loved ones are often caught in the crossfire.

guizhong never wanted to be powerful. she was happy where she was, caring for her people, caring for her lover, restoring the land around her as the god of dust. it was okay that she was just a minor god, because she was happy.

[name] should've never allowed her to fall in love.

as guizhong fell, [name] flew into a blind rage, the universe flipped upside down as earth seemed to fall from the sky, as her fury was displayed for all to see. left untouched in a single corner of teyvat, was the mountain where [name] and guizhong used to sit, sipping tea idly, without a care in the world. left untouched was the glaze lily field where the two used to talk for hours on end, where they fell in love.

left untouched, was guizhong's body.

[name] ascended as the god of geo, founder of liyue, rex lapis, and morax.

but at what cost?

[name] was renowned nowadays for her endless knowledge, generous rule, and her guidance to the land of liyue. the other six seats had been set in stone, and for the past few centuries, [name] would get constant visits from the wind archon, who now went by 'venti.'
