chishiya took the news of your death with great composure.
he made sure to keep his expression blank when he heard the whispers of it amongst the halls and was careful to keep his steps steady and his limbs in tact. he had just been heading down to pick you up, but it appeared that wouldn't be necessary no more.
swiftly he was already disappearing through the twists and turns of the halls and returning to his room, clicking the door shut behind him and lessening the distance between himself and his bed. and once he reached the mattress and leaned back against the headboard, he allowed himself to think. for a very long time.
had he been a fool? to allow himself to you knowing of the dangers of this world? it was his fault, jumping at the opportunity of someone understanding him and being able to fill the void of his chest. for a moment, he wished he hadn't, maybe then he wouldn't feel the heavy weight on his chest and the lump in his throat. but then what would he feel? would he rather nothing at all compared to the emotions you allowed him to experience? it was a hard choice, but it was one he could do nothing to answer.
"how unfortunate." he muttered to himself, allowing just one tear to slip down his cheek. he had gone this far after all, hadn't he?
