In Vanessa's home, she was making food as Harper was unpacking her things at the dining table, and Vanessa walked over to her with a plate of food.
"I'm so glad my stuff is here," Harper saw Vanessa, "Oh, thanks," Harper said as she took the plate.
"So, that's all your stuff?" Vanessa asked.
"What do you mean?" Harper asked and took a bite out of her toast.
"Is the rest in storage?" Vanessa asked.
"No, this is all of it. I'm not sentimental," Harper said.
"Well, it must make things easier when you have to move," Vanessa sat down at the table, "Emma get hers?" Vanessa said.
"Yeah," Harper said.
"Oh, I forgot to ask. How'd everything go with Ashley? Did you two find her?" Vanessa asked.
"Yeah, we found her...as she was going into labor," Vanessa looked at her shocked, "Yeah, crazy timing, I know," Harper set something down and looked at her, "Get this. Ashley had sold the baby...to Mr Gold," Harper said.
"Why on earth would he want her baby?" Vanessa asked.
Harper shrugged, "I don't know, but he doesn't have him. Ashley kept the baby, named him Alexander," Harper said.
Vanessa smiled, "How'd she come up to that decision?" Harper shrugged slightly, "What did you tell her?" Vanessa asked.
"That if she really wants her baby, she has to know what that means. That if she wants the baby to have its best chance, then it's with someone who can give him that. Or that there's no running away if she makes the decision to keep him," Harper said.
"Sounds like you're getting the hang of it," Harper looked at her confused, "You know what I'm talking about," Vanessa said.
"Yeah, I guess," she sighed and looked at her phone, checking the time, "I have to go," she stood up and grabbed her jacket, "I've got to get down to the Sheriff station with, Em," Harper said.

Vanessa walked through the hospital with her clipboard when she came to David's room and walked in, making him look at her, "Dr Mills," David said as he smiled.
Vanessa glanced at him, "Morning, Mr Nolan," she walked around his bed to the monitor, "Just here to check your vitals," Vanessa said as she began reading the vital monitor, writing down what she saw.
"I never got to say thank you," she glanced at him, "For saving me," David said.
"Well, I am a doctor. It's kind of my job," she sighed and looked back at the monitor, "You're vitals seem fine, nothing out of the ordinary," she turned to him, "You might be ready to leave sooner than we thought," Vanessa said and started walking to the door, when there was a violent shake and the hospital phones began to ring.
"What was that?" David asked.
She looked at him, "I don't know," Vanessa said.
Dr Whale peaked into the room, "Dr Mills," she looked at him, "Their sending you to the old mines, asap," Dr Whale said.
"Okay," she looked at David, "Have a good rest of your day, Mr Nolan," Vanessa said and rushed out of the room.

The entire town was now gathered around the entrance of the old mines when Vanessa pulled up in her car just as Regina pulled up in hers.
"Everyone! Step back, please!" Vanessa said as she walked through the crowd of people.
