There is no way Allie can keep avoiding Caz and what she must do. When she returns home, she text him that she needs to see him.

Caz had come to pick her up that afternoon. He stands by the passenger door of his pick up truck. He had taken the time to shave, run some gel over his blonde curls, and wear his nicest bottom down shirt.

Allie stops and stares, her heart beating a little faster. She wishes things could be different. That she could fall in love with him and be happy. Her parents would approve of that. Maybe her father would talk to her again if she got into a stable relationship with a nice, centered man. If she got married and gave them grandchildren.

She can see it, the future that she could have with Caz. Maybe they could partner up with Lorie and Susie, run the bar at night. Or just stay in the ranch and take care of the horses. They can have blue eyes children with olive skin and dark curls. She can see it so clearly. When she tries to do the same with Andy... it is like staring at the bottom of the ocean. Nothing but darkness and unknown things.

"You look beautiful." Caz hugs her and plants a kiss over her head. "What do you want to do tonight?"

"We should just... walk?"

"Why don't we go for a drive?" Caz opens the door to the passenger sit. He has been thinking all day about Allie. He thinks of her all the time.

It has been a while since she let him kiss her, and he plans of wooing her tonight. He feels like he has let too much time pass.

"I am kind of tired, let's just walk."

Caz closed the truck's door and follows Allegra down the street. The breeze as turned unusually cool for mid summer night. It is late, past 10 pm, because Caz had to close the Little Rainbow before going back home and changing. He still isn't sure what he will say, little does he know Allie is also struggling to find the words to start the conversation.

"Do you believe in soulmates?" Caz asks her, breaking the silence they have been in for minutes now.

"Huh?" It's such a random question, Allie doesn't really understand what he is asking.

"Soulmates." He says.

"I... don't know. What do you think they are?"

They make it to the small park, sit down on the bench, and Caz notices how Allie sits at a polite distance. As far as the length of the bench will allow her.

"You."

"I am not the same person you remember, Caz."

"Yea you are." He reaches for her hand and she lets him take it. "Is normal to change, to grow, but deep down, to the core you will always be Allegra."

Caz had told her countless times he loves her, no matter what. She believes this is the thing that he won't forgive her for.

What had she expected when she first proposed sex? She remembers the thirst she felt, how Andy had gotten her so hot and bothered just by existing that she thought Caz could help to ease the burning sensation that consumed her.

If Andy and Allegra had never crossed paths, maybe Caz and her could have been happy. She could have fallen in love with him.

But what if's aren't going to help the situation.

"Caz, I want things to go back to what they were before we had sex." Allie squeezes his hand. "You mean a lot to me and I don't want to lose you."

This takes him by surprise. It is the last thing he expected even though all the signals were there before.
