Sun x Daycare worker!reader

The children all had mixed feelings about the daycare attendant, Sun and Moon. Even the adults, guests and staff members alike weren't big fans. Perhaps it was the fact that he was several feet taller than them. He is seven feet tall after all, even you had to crane your neck up to look at him. But you never treated him with a cold shoulder or anger like other adults. It was saddening to see anyone think it's okay to behave so poorly towards anyone. 

You would hang out with Sun all day since you worked at the daycare at the main desk by the enormous wooden doors. Since today was a school day it was quite a bit slower, and there were only a handful of kids. On days like this, you would occupy your time by doing a small craft at the desk. Today you were sewing some fabric together, just about finished with a hat you had inside out. Sun would come up occasionally asking what you were making, but you always responded with "It's a surprise! You'll get to see what it looks like by the end of the day."

You had decided since Moon had his jester hat and Sun didn't have one, you'd make him one yourself. There weren't any that you could special order out of a catalog, it just wasn't part of purchasing the animatronic. Which is perfectly fine by you, you didn't mind at all. It would be interesting to see how he reacted when you hand it over to him. Finalizing some stitches, you flipped the hat right-side-right, closing the small hole you had flipped it through. Making sure to sew under the desk and on your lap, you also had to watch out for Sun. He could quite literally fall out of thin air and you'd never know until he was right in front of you. He's done it before and he will most definitely do it again in the future. You chuckled at the times he's done it to the new employees and scared them shitless. 

Taking the pair of scissors you cut off the excess string and tied a tiny knot, tucking it out of sight. You put the sewing tools away in your bag and cleaned up the desk. If you called Sun over with a mess on the desk he'd want to clean it all up anyways. 

"Sun! Come here!" You called out to him, you couldn't see where he was. Probably somewhere in one of the jungle gyms. Soon enough you could hear him coming toward you by the bells on his shoes and wrists. "Sun! For as tall as you are, you sure do seem to disappear easy." You chuckled as he squatted in front of the desk. 

"Helloooo~ Starlight! Is it time?! Is it time?! Ooooooo! I'm suuuuper excited! Is it done?! Is it done?! Is it done?!" You chuckled as he leaned forward in excitement. 

"Yep! Turn your head around, it's a surprise, remember?" He quickly rotated his head like an owl. "Alright, put your hands out.." once he placed his hands out, he nearly knocked everything off of the desk. But it was okay since it was just a couple of figurines and a cup. You swiftly placed his new hat out into his hands. "Alright, you can look!"

Sun snapped his head back in front of him, looking down at the item you placed there. His head tilted back and forth as he held the hat up. "It's....it's....AMAZING! I love it! I love, love, love it!" he beamed, placing it on his head. Twirling his head like a pinwheel, he squealed at the fact the hat stayed in place. "Oooooooh! It even stays in place! Starlight, this is what you've been working on?!"

"Yeah, I kinda figured since you're a jester you should have a jester's hat. There were none to order or even special orders. So I made it myself." You rubbed your arm, looking to the side.

"This is terrific!" Sun said picking you up from the other side of the desk. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" He squealed while hugging you and spinning around.
