~(Y/N)'s POV~

I shot up from the couch, blood seeping through my shirt. I felt pain sear through my body, but I kept going nonetheless. Nightmare had been knocked into the wall and Dream was heading to finish him off. I grabbed the God's shoulders, his eyes no longer gold, but grey. "Get out of my way!" I winced as another magic arrow was stabbed into my stomach, feeling blood coming up my throat. "Snap out of it, you moron! Someone's in there, in your SOUL messing with you!"

I saw Dream's eyes slowly turn gold and a look of fear take over his face, before it all went black again...

"𝙴𝚡𝚌𝚎𝚕𝚕𝚎𝚗𝚝 𝚓𝚘𝚋, (𝚈/𝙽). 𝙷𝚎'𝚜 𝚌𝚘𝚖𝚎 𝚘𝚞𝚝 𝚘𝚏 รєﻮภเร'𝚜 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚝𝚛𝚘𝚕." I sighed and rubbed my stomach, which was sore, but not nearly as painful as it was just moments before. "What...exactly is this place? And who are you?" The being sighed, holding their pocket watch from before. "𝙸 𝚊𝚖 קгคєรєภՇ, 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝙶𝚘𝚍 𝚘𝚏 𝙳𝚢𝚜𝚏𝚞𝚗𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗. 𝚂𝚑𝚘𝚌𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐, 𝙸 𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠, 𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚜𝚒𝚍𝚎𝚛𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝙸'𝚖 𝚝𝚛𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚘 𝚑𝚘𝚕𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚋𝚊𝚕𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚎. Although I couldn't understand their name, I did understand the rest of it. "Yeah, the place where SOULs get carried to the afterlife, right?" They smiled and nodded. As they went to speak, a loud ticking could be heard. Their eyes once again shifted into clocks and they sighed. "Why do your eyes do that? That would be like the God of Time's deal, right?" 𝙰𝚑, 𝚢𝚎𝚜. Շє๓קยร 𝚒𝚜 𝚖𝚢 𝚖𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛. 𝙼𝚢 𝚏𝚊𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛, 𝚑𝚘𝚠𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛, 𝚒𝚜 ŦคςՇย๓, 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝙶𝚘𝚍 𝚘𝚏 𝙰𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗𝚜. 𝙷𝚎 𝚠𝚊𝚜...𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜 𝚒𝚜 𝚒𝚛𝚛𝚎𝚕𝚎𝚟𝚊𝚗𝚝, (𝚈/𝙽). 𝙸 𝚑𝚘𝚙𝚎 𝙸 𝚠𝚘𝚗'𝚝 𝚜𝚎𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚒𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝙻𝚒𝚖𝚒𝚗𝚊𝚕, 𝚊𝚐𝚊𝚒𝚗. 𝙳𝚘 𝚝𝚛𝚢 𝚝𝚘 𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚢 𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚟𝚎. 𝙶𝚘𝚘𝚍𝚋𝚢𝚎, 𝚗𝚘𝚠."

I woke up, feeling pain in my shoulder, stomach, and head. Nightmare jolted beside me. "(Y/N), y-you're awake!" I sat up slowly, Nightmare's hand reaching out, but pausing and flinching back. "I-I'm sorry that I upset y-" I wrapped my arms around Nightmare, feeling my eyes sting. "I'm sorry I've been such an ass, Night. I'm so, so sorry..." Nightmare arms wrapped around me as we sat there, enjoying each others' embrace.

"Ahem." I let go, feeling my muscles ache. The scarf guy from before was standing there, Dream hiding behind him. "Can you two please get Dream off me? He's clinging to me like a puppy and I wanna take a nap." Nightmare's grip tightened on my a bit, causing me to whine in pain. "I don't want to see his fa-" "Come on in, Dream," I said, making Nightmare gawk a bit. I tried not to laugh, but snickered a bit. Dream took a few steps forward, while scarf kid ran out of the room.

"I...I'm so sorry, (Y/N)...I-I don't-" I smiled and patted the area next to me, where Dream nervously sat down. "It's fine, man. A little birdy told me you weren't exactly being normal." My mind went to the figure, whose name was incomprehensible. "W-Who..?" Nightmare seemed just as confused and slightly angry. "When?" "I...don't really know the answer to either of those. It was some weird place they called the, uh...Liminal."
