Chapter 11

In the downtown area of Platz 40, citizens screamed and tried to run away from the Jordeman, but they were immediately killed. The monster's sharp claws, one of the traits that all Jordeman have in common, slicing through buildings in people. This one of the Jordeman had light turquoise skin that shimmered in the sunlight. It had a masculine slim and fit physique, its head revealing pale human-like skin with a slim jaw, cleft chin, and pitch black eyes. This Jordeman was named Brilyante, the few of his kind referring to him as Diamond Skin.

Like Ginto, Brilyante also had an additional superpower, being able to use the sun as a bright light to emit a strong white flash from his body, blinding those around him. He used this to prevent humans from running away, as well as confusing them in which direction to flee to, using this advantage to kill them quicker. Diamond Skin zipped to the top of a fallen tower, looking at all of the feeling people below. He crossed his arms, laughing at his doing. He was proud of it.

Brilyante said, "The rest of the Jordeman will soon come up to the surface and destroy the rest of the world with me by their side. Our leader will be pleased."

Suddenly, the monster was hit by an explosion that made him stumble slightly. Brilyante turned around to see the cause and saw an expensive red and black car coming towards him. In it was Agent Red at the wheel with Electrolite next to him and Greyson in the back.

"Greyson! Grenade!" Red shouted.

Greyson quickly picked up another of the 20 grenades in the bag next to him and gave it to Red, the man loading the projectile and firing it at the monster with his grenade launcher. Diamond Skin caught the grenade and crushed it in his hand, exploding in his face, the creature not moving. Agent Red then drifted his side of the car facing towards the monster and leaped out, withdrawing his golden Desert Eagles and fired a barrage of bullets at the monster. Diamond Skin was unharmed by the bullets and scoffed at Red's attempts to attack him.

"Pathetic." He said.

Agent Red chuckled, saying, "That's not all."

The monster then swung his claws at the agent, who dodged and fired more rounds, reloading after he ran out. Brilyante proceeded to throw more claw swings at Red, who continued to dodge them and fire more bullets at the monster, reloading whenever he ran out. Eventually, Agent Red came up close and proceeded to hit Diamond Skin with punches and kicks from his martial arts training. The monster humored the man by parrying each attack and swinging his fists at the agent, who dodged them. Growing sick of him, Brilyante stopped a punch from Agent Red and punched a hole in his stomach, the agent coughing up blood.

"Red!" Greyson exclaimed.

He began to withdraw his katana and go attack the monster. Electrolite stopped him, saying, "Wait. Watch this."

Diamond skin chuckled, saying, "A mortal human like you, dodging my incredible speed of claws, is very impressive. Certainly you wouldn't last this long."

Agent Red scoffed, replying with. "Don't be so sure, cheap jewelry."

The man then brought up a grenade to Diamond Skin's face and removed the pin, the object exploding in their faces, which made the monster stumble back a little to only cover his eyes from the blast instead of doing him any harm. Brilyante saw Agent Red's side of his face resembling that of shredded meat. The creature was surprised to see the man standing and was more surprised when he saw his face begin to heal and reform, the explosive wounds now coming together and forming his original face. The hole in his stomach also healed, the hole closing up, healing the wound entirely. Agent Red healed within seconds and appeared as if nothing happened to him at all.

"You're no human, are you?" Brilyante said.

"I am, I'm just a bit more special." Red replied.

The agent jumped back and brought out his AR15 strapped to his back and fired a barrage of bullets at the monster, who ran backwards, blocking the projectiles. Agent Red then reloaded his weapon, giving the monster the opportunity to zip towards him and attack him. Fortunately, Electrolite jumped in the way and delivered a strong punch to Diamond Skin's stomach, launching him over and along the street a great distance away. Brilyante groaned in pain, seeing that the young hero was able to harm him instead of Red. Greyson then walked up to the two and drew out his katana.
