Jisoo walked down the busy road and minded her own business, just like any other day when she was returning from school. Her head nodded in time to the music that was blasting through her headphones as she crossed the road filled with cars.
She felt a queasy feeling in her stomach, but shrugged it off as hunger as she made her way to her favourite cafe just down another road.
Unnoticed by her however, a young boy followed her, weaving his way through the massive crowd, and holding a small polaroid camera. His glasses slipped off his nose and onto the road, but he ignored it, desperate to not lose his target.
As Jisoo stepped into the cafe, she was greeted by many of her friends who she nodded to and then continued her journey to the counter.
"Hey Jisoo." Her brother, Taehyung, greeted her.
"Hi Tae. Can I just get my usual, please?" She answered with a smile on her face.
"Yeah, sure." Taehyung replied as she paid and sat down at one of the tables near the window.
Her face returned back to its usual emotionless state as she got out her phone to reply to a text message she just got. Her face turned sour as she read a message from her mother, who was only the owner of a famous and wealthy company, asking her if she could sort out some files for her.
However, her face scrunched up in confusion as she read another text message from an unknown number. They had sent a picture of her sitting in the cafe and staring at her phone. She looked outside and the street, which was so busy before, looked quite deserted.
Another notification popped up on her phone. She looked back at it, and what she saw sent a shiver down her spine. Another picture of her, looking around to see if anyone was nearby.
Another message.
Another shiver.
She turned her phone off and stored it in her pocket, too creeped out to continue.
This wasn't the first time this had happened either; she was the daughter of the most famous woman in Korea. It was quite normal for her to get threatened, but nonetheless creepy.
Meanwhile, while Jisoo was freaking out internally, the young boy from before had gone and retrieved his glasses, and was watching her fret over something on her phone. He was absolutely clueless on what it might be, but she stressed, so he decided to introduce himself to her.
However, something else caught his eye. A man dressed completely in black was looking at Jisoo and pointing his phone camera towards her. He thought it might be another person like him, but he did a double take when he caught sight of his face. He was smirking a creepy smirk, almost as if he was the person behind Jisoo's terror.
The young boy decided he should do something and started walking towards Jisoo when he saw the man taking out something from his pocket. He quickly hid behind a dustbin, and his eyes widened behind the rim of his black glasses as he realised it was a gun.
He started walking towards Jisoo, going to warn her, but was abruptly stopped when two men, also dressed in black, caught his arms and dragged him back. One covered his mouth with a cloth, while another tried to stop him from escaping.
Even though he was in pain and struggling, he tried his best to flap his arms around and get the men to get off him. Desperately twisting and turning he managed to worm his way out of their grip and run off towards Jisoo.
Everything happened as if life went into a slow motion video. He ran up to her but it was almost too late to save her. The man pulled on the trigger and the bullet fired. He got to her just in time for him to push her away.
The next thing he knew was blackness. Just darkness. He could hear some voices around him, some yelling his name and some heart-wrenching cries. The sound of police sirens soon filled his head and the last thing he ever heard was his own name coming from the mouth of his beautiful crush.
