-Lauren's POV-
I was only hurting Ethan because he deserved it. He thinks he can backtalk me and shit, but he doesn't know that I know what he did before he changed. I used to like him and all, but we cut each other off in an instant after the apparent accident. I was only dating Casey to get closer to Ethan; I didn't really fancy Casey, either. I guess I was being a bitch to both of them, then.

I pulled my hair back and hearing my phone vibrate, I picked it up.
"Hello?" I said, without looking at the caller ID. I was squeezing into my skinny jeans when I heard her voice.
"I think I've got him, I feel like he wants me, but at the same time, I want Ethan to open up to me." Her voice dropping, holding pain in it.
"Oh suck it up," I said, rolling my eyes, "You're only going to make him tell you everything, then we'll be able to do what he did to us before."
Hearing her sigh in defeat, "I guess that's what I want, too." She said, before we said our goodbyes to each other.
Since she was close to Ethan, it was an advantage I got.

-Ethan's POV-
The weekend went by pretty fast, honestly. But Friday night was absolutely fabulous. Saying that Jason's party was spectacular was an exaggeration, but the person I spent the entire time with had actually brought my mood up. Grace and I went dancing with each other afer the small talk, I feltlike she wanted more from e, but I dismissed the feeling and enjoyed the rest of the night.

As I was putting my jacket on, I got a text from Casey, asking me if I'd seen his flannel anywhere around my house. Looking around my room, I saw it in the small wedge in-between my laptop desk and wall. I texted him back saying, Yea, I'll give it to you when I see you."
I got my keys from the table and went to my car, but not without grabbing my book bag and saying goodbye to my parents.
I felt a buzz in my back pocket and took my phone out again, irritated, thinking it was Casey. Surprisingly, it was Grace who had texted me,
What high school do you go to?
I laughed, and immediately texted her back, saying, Roosevelt, why?
I was getting out of my drive way when I heard my phone vibrate once again. I'll check it when I get to school.
*^*^*^*^*^*
I got my phone from the cup holder, reading what Grace said to me, "You'll soon find out, (;." Grabbing the flannel and my bag, I made my way to my locker. I had a feeling in me that today was going to be good,
When I arrived at my locker, I saw some of my friends, and a small ginger jumping up and down.
"Grace?" I yelled out, getting the attention from my friends and a couple students in the hallway.
"Ethan!" I heard her voice scream. I saw her jogging up to me, holding her hands out, also. She jumped onto me, hugging me very tightly. She was small for her age, but she gave the most bone-crushing hugs.
"When did you start going here?" I asked, after she had let go of me and I got to breathe.
She smiled at me, "I'm starting today, since Jason's my cousin and we moved here from Florida, my parents thought I should go to the same school as him." She started talking about how everyone was nice and how cute the guys were.
From the corner of my eye, I saw Lauren and Casey laughing and holding hands with each other. I honestly felt bad for ruining our friendship, but I didn't mean to. Bringing my attention back to Grace, I felt her bring her arm to my waist and lean her head on my shoulder. Looking at her in confusion, she mouthed to me, I know, as she pointed her chin towards the "lovely" couple a few feet away from us.
Nodding at her, I whispered, "Let's go to homeroom before we are blessed by their presence." Laughing a bit, we strode off together, ignoring the stares people were giving us.

-Casey's POV-
Seeing the new girl, Grace, being all snuggly with Ethan like that made me think that he replaced me. I thought we were going to accomplish things together, I wanted to tell him that she wasn't good enough, or that she wouldn't make him as ahppy as I would. But who am I to judge to say that, even when I was the one who hurt him most?
*^*^*^*^*
We were currently at lunch, sitting together. Lauren, Ethan, Grace, Evelyn, Jeremy, Zoe, Ally, Ellie, and I. I felt thick tension in the air, since everyone was giving either weird or despising looks to Lauren, I spoke up, "What the hell is wrong with everybody today?"
Ethan laughed, he was the first one to actually say something and not hesitate. "Well, why don't you ask your girlfriend, since she's the one who started this."
Anger had burned through my veins, can he fucking not do that? My eyes narrowed at him and I said, "Then stop fucking talking, I wasn't asking you anyway."
"But you asked an indirect question, meaning anyone can answer."
Standing up, I yelled at him, "You always fucking ruin everything, I can't fucking believe it."
He got up as well, "Then you ruining me wasn't anything?"
"Remember when you actually had a life and didn't make bitchy comments about mine?" I said, storming off into the school, literally done with everything.
Something worse than being in pain is seeing someone else in it.
