It's Only a Matter of Time

"Y/N, I overheard them saying something about testing me" Seth call's out to me.

I roll of his bed onto the floor exhausted from all the work I've done during the day to create weapons. "Test? Ugh I hate test. What should we do about it?"

Seth smirks towards me. "I'll give them what they want why of course."

The next morning as expected Seth was asked to get rid of a family of crocodiles because they were getting in the way of their business. But I didn't like that idea, so I intervened. "Why, is the crocodile killing people?"

"Um, in fact one of our men was killed in the Nile River while he was steal-swimming" The old man steps forward but can't look me in the eyes.

I don't know if what he says is true, but I know that human are also cold creatures. "Okay so it's animal nature, he must've done something to make it upset."

One of the men step towards me and grabs my wrist. "You insolent bitch, one of our loyal men were killed and this is how you react."

I glare him in the eyes and start smiling probably from nervousness. "Or maybe the crocodiles couldn't stand your breath and couldn't unalive itself, so they decided to help you out."

"YOU SHIT!" The man swings his hand but before his hand touches my face Seth steps in and catches it.

"No one puts their hands on my ward, and anyone that does will lose their fingers" With that he kicks the man aside and walks towards the old man.

"I accept, now take me there."

When we arrive at the Nile River, we both see a float of crocodiles waiting for us. I bring along my homemade paint ball gun that I made especially for occasions like this.

"What is that thing you have in your hand?" Seth gets closer to me to get a better look.

I look around and whisper. "It's a paintball gun I made last night when you mentioned they'd probably test you, I thought this would come in handy and nothing gets hurt too!"

"No wonder you look so terrible today, I had no idea humans where this fragile."

I roll my eyes.

"Ahem, Seth this is a tes-aid, an aid to help us with the continuation to serve you well. You being the god of war is the only one qualified, for this task is too difficult we humbly ask for your assistances." The old comes between me and Seth and I stumble back a bit.

Seth looks like he's about ready to slaughter everyone here (honestly, I don't see why not). "Yea, yea, I get it, so technically you want me to make the crocodiles go away?"

"We'd be very grateful."

Seth jumps on top of a lurking crocodile. With his khopesh he goes for the neck but another crocodile springs towards him with its huge teeth snapping at Seths feet, Seth quickly avoids it but loses his balance. He flips backwards landing on the following crocodile mouth to make sure it doesn't bite at him.

"Seth! Just say the word I heard there pretty sensitive in the eyes."

"Hush, Human!" Seth looks a bit upset about what I said so I look around to spot another way to help him by finding the leader of the crocodile float. I spot one crocodile particular on top of the other.

Before I say anything, it seems like Seth also notices because he makes his way towards it and swings his khopesh aiming at the head.
