Harley D'Angelo's parents always used to say she was their little miracle. Her mother was told that she would probably never be able to conceive so, after years of trying, they gave up. No more pregnancy tests, no more ovulation tracking, it was over and it hurt.

Then after, one night she fell pregnant with Harley. It had finally happened. Years of doctors telling her she would never have a biological child, it had finally happened.

The only catch, though? It was in the midst of an apocalypse. She didn't wanna raise a kid in this world but abortion options were far and few. Therefore, Harley D'Angelo was born and raised in a fucked up infected world.

Harleys dad later died from a heart condition and then her mom was infected so she sent her off to the Fireflies where she was raised by a man named Tommy Miller. When Tommy left the Fireflies he couldn't bring himself to put Harley in danger by taking her on his trip to Wyoming , so he dropped her off with the next best person, his brother Joel. After months of pleading and proving herself, Joel finally let her join him in his new life of a smuggler.
