Chapter Nine- Meteor Shower (Part Two)

The day of the meteors rolled around, the whole town was preparing. There was joy all over the streets, people walking, talking, just having fun.

Everyone exept Melissa. She got woken up after 6 hours of sleep by all the commotion. "OH FUCK OFF, WILL YA?" she yelled out of her window at some kids shouting outside. She felt especially tired when she woke from her deep slumber. When she was finished screaming at kids, she went downstairs to meet her mom who was calmly eating some toast. "mornin' mom" she said while walking down the stairs. "good morning Abby" her mom waved with a half eaten toast in her hand.

"I told you not to call me that"

"but it's your name, is it not?"

"I don't want to get called that I told you, only dad cou- you know what nevermind just don't call me that. Please." Mellisa replied rather harshly.

"someone woke up grumpy" her mom said, her tone was saddened. "anyways, today is the lovers night. Have you found anyone this year?" Mellisa's mom asked while taking a final bite of her toast. "no mom, I don't. But I'm going to be out with friends tonight, if that's okay..?" Mel sat down at the table.

"again?"

"yes mom, again" she chuckled. "were staying the night there"

"Could I at least know who you're going with Ab-Mellie" her mom corrected herself. "the usual, Aiden, Angel and Miles" she smiled. "the new boy? That's nice of you. And what about Roxanne? You don't hang out anymore?"."I'm pretty sure she's busy or something." Mellisa yawned and layed her head on the table. 'like always' mellisa thought. Her mother only replied with "she was always an odd little girl"

Meanwhile, Miles was sitting on his bed, playing some games on his console.

"MILES GUESS WHAT" Jessica suddenly burst in trough the door, startling the poor boy and making him throw his controller out of his hand.

"WHAT" he looked at the controller that was now lying on the ground.

"I am going to meet someone this week, guess who!" Jessica scurried over to miles's bed. "someone to repair my controller?" he answered seriously

"nooo dummyy, im meeting captain!!"

"wait what?" miles said, clearly puzzled.

"you would've known if you were still hanging out with the group" she huffed and crossed her arms. "oh, I'm sorry that Im not into childrens games anymore" he sounded a bit angry now.

"that's why you have a video-game girlfriend?" Jessica stood up, smirking. "N-no, I don't even play FNF anymore!" he brushed his hand trough his hair, while a shade of pink brushed his cheeks. "P-plus, I-I have someone"

"YOU DO?! MOM! PLAYER'S GOT A GIRLF-" before she could finish the sentence, player already tackeled her to the ground. "Hey! Get off of me! Moms not even home, idiot"

"oh"

"SOOOO, you have a girlfriend than?"

"uhm, s-she's not my girlfriend" Miles stuttered, getting off of the floor.

"so she's just a crush? Wowie, could've saved me from the tackle" he' got up too and rolled her eyes.

"uhh"

"is it that black haired friend of yours?" she suddenly blurted out, shocking Miles.

"what? n-nahhh, I d-don't like Mellisa!" his cheeks were now bright red.

"Well I just got my answer, oh that's adorable!" a mischievous smirk appeared on Jessicas face as she tried to hold in her laughter. "I don't like her, really I don't!" Miles tried to fix the situation, but he only made it worse.
