Driftmark

IT WAS TIME FOR Lunarys step-mothers funeral, the Dragons rested nearby as everyone that had been called for had arrived at the driftmark castle. Lunarys alongside her father Prince Daemon stood around the casket that held the remains within of Laena Velaryon. Lord Corlys and Princess Rhaenys, lunarys uncle and cousin were with Baela and Rhaena.

The King and Queen of the seven kingdoms, King Viserys and Queen Alicent had been present as well, their children along them, Aegon, Aemond and Helaena Targaryen. Rhaenyra stood with her children Jacaerys and Lucerys, with them stood Ser Laenor Velaryon, Rhaenyra's husband by duty. It was a terrible event that the family had to gather to, a horrible reunion occasion some would say. The Adults hadn't seen another for about six years or so.

As the families had gathered around the casket that stood at a cliff's end, everyone mourned their beloved friend, daughter, parents, children, step-mother and even her own Dragon, Vhagar mourned by herself. Lunarys cowered into her father further that already held her against his chest, his arms laid across her torso from her neck. She didn't like holding a funeral for someone she loved so dearly as her step-mother and Daemon was aware of that and tried to comfort her accordingly.

"Lady Laena leaves two true-born daughters on the shore. Though their mother will not return from her voyage, they will all remain bound together in blood. Salt courses through Velaryon blood. Ours runs thick. Ours runs true. And ours must never thin."  Vaemond Velaryon, the brother of Lord Corlys spoke in his mother tongue, High Valyrian. His gaze found that of the Heir of King Viserys. Lunarys could feel the tension, as suddenly a small laughter rung through it. It was her father, his chin resting atop his child's head as he laughed softly, earning him glares by all around him.

Lunarys lifted her gaze up at her father, who smiled ever so gently down towards her. The screeching and roaring of Dragons shook the foundation of the castle of Driftmark as Laena Velaryon's casket was lowered into the great sea, lowering into the deepest depths of the waters with all the memories she had made, taken alongside her. Lunarys pushed her back further against her Father's broad chest, he held her tighter. They both mourned, but Daemon mourned more for that his children had now been motherless.

Eventually the crowd split up, the children stayed together as well did the Adults. After giving the young princess a last head pat, he excused himself, being led to his brother by the kings guard as he had been request for by the weakened King. She felt someone softly take her hand as she stared at her Fathers back getting smaller and smaller until he eventually was not being able to be seen any longer. Her head turned to see whom had took her hand, it was Lucerys. The boy had came to find her after talking with Lord Corlys as she had seen him do moments ago.
