Wilbur pov:

The light is so near, where are we even going? All I can do is feel. This right little tunnel makes me freak out a bit not gonna lie but I'm sure it's fine. Wilbur shakes the thoughts away as he climbs out into a grassy field, nowhere he's seen or been before that's a fact.

"Where are we?" Quackity had practically read my mind when he got out.

I shuffled through my pockets and grabbed my map, looking at it I have no idea where we are. 'Well isn't that just great.'

"I have no clue, this place isn't on the map either" I frantically looked around. "We really are lost"

After a few moments quackity spoke up. "Wilbur we are lost, we should get a move on" he suggested.

"What if we stay for a bit?" I asked but only got a confused stare.

"What do you mean? We have to get back to our own nations" he replied.

"Well, I don't know about you but I think it would be best if we could hold a friendship of some sort you know... we could prevent another war"

Quackity seemed hesitant but complied with a simple okay.

"Well, what if we build a small cabin? That's good enough right?" I asked.

"Yes that's fine, I already have two stacks of logs and some wool so we already have everything we need. Well almost anyways, do you think you could go get some meat for dinner?" Quackity looked over at me.

"Sure, I'll get right on that," I said happily. 'I don't know why I wanted to be alone with him for a while, I just feel like it's fated?' I shook the confusion off as I ran to the nearby forest, killing a few sheep. 'I think that's enough, but perhaps I should get some mushrooms or apples too'

Wilbur walked around in the forest in search of mushrooms. Looking around at the forest floor, all scattered with leaves, I bent down and began to move the leaves. After seemingly forever, I had finally found one. "Ahah!" I said triumphantly.

'I sure do hope Quackity has a furnace, maybe I can make some stew with these things.' Walking around further into the woods I looked up to see a burrow of some sort. What an odd place for a burrow, in a tree. Wilbur reached his hand in and pulled out a few walnuts.

This search continued for another hour as he looked around for anything that seemed appetizing.

'I think I have enough now, I should probably get back, the sun is already setting.' I thought to myself as I walked carefree through the forest, eventually making my way back.

"It's about time you came back! Did you find anything good?" Quackity hollered over from the now finished cabin. My mouth dropped.

"Wow Quackity, that's perfect" I complimented. Quackity looked away as a smile overtook his face, which in return made me chuckle.

"I got a bunch of things, I hope they work" I said as I walked into the cabin with Quackity. I took all the food out of my inventory and put it on the counter. Quackity gawked at the amount of food I had gathered.

"Oh and, I'm cooking" I announced.

"I'm fine with that, I can't cook well anyways" Quackity admitted.

I carefully crafted a bowl and put the ingredients into it, mixing up a nice soup, then I put it into the furnace.

"While that's cooking is there anything you have in mind that we can do? I'm bored as hell" Quackity groaned.

"Want to go for a walk?" I offered. Quackity nodded.

I walked outside, Quackity following closely behind me.

I stepped onto the grass as it bent under my weight, walking along as the sun was slowly setting. The silence was unreal but it didn't bother me much, I was content. After a moment I broke into a sprint as I ran up to a tree. I jumped up and sat on a lower branch. Quackity chased after me, jumping up and sitting on the branch next to me.

"Wilbur?" -Q

"Yes Quackity?" I hummed.

"Why do you want to be my friend so badly?" He asked harshly.

"Why? Well, I don't know, I guess it just feels right. We should be friends" I looked back at him with a smile.

"Ah, I see... Look, I'm sorry about being such an asshole Wilbur-" before he could finish his sentence I but in. "Quackity you don't have to be sorry alright? We were both enemies, but now we can finally put that aside. "

Quackity looked over at me, then the ground. Mumbling a quick thanks.

"Ah, as comfortable as this is Quackity, we should be getting back. I don't want the soup to burn."

Quackity gave a simple nod and jumped off the tree.
"See you back at home then" he gave a smirk and then bolted towards the cabin.

"OH ITS ON" I yelled as I jumped off, rushing after him.
He made it to the cabin first. "UGH" I  grumbled. "Cheater"

He looked at me with amusement shone in his eyes. "I didn't cheat your just slow Wilbur."  He sneered.

I rolled my eyes but didn't say anything, I pulled the stew out of the oven and placed it on the table handing a bowl to Quackity.

We both took our first bites of the stew. Quackity's eyes lit up whilst mine stayed indifferent. 'This stew is so boring'

"This is so good" He complimented in a hushed voice. I shrugged as I continued to eat my portion. After eating we both set our bowls down, cleaning them and then putting them away in a chest. I yawned and looked outside to see the pitch black of the night fill the air.

"You tired?" Quackity asked.

"Yeah, today has been a long day, we almost died" I said unenthusiastically.

"Where's the beds?" I asked.
"Right there," Quackity said, pointing to two beds close to the wall.

"Alright thanks," I Said stifling another yawn.

"Of course"
