McDonald's

We've been driving in silence for the past hour. I'm starting to feel a bit hungry. What do I want to eat tho. I'm craving something salty. Actually no, I want tacos yummmm. My stomach growls loudly at the thought of it. Xeno looks over at me, I turn my head towards him and turn slightly red from embarrassment. 

"Is someone hungry" He asks with a smirk on his face. I wanna slap that smirk off his beautiful face. 

"Nah, I'm not hungry, my stomach just farted" I say sarcastically while rolling my eyes.
"I want McDonald's? Can we stop there" I ask with hope.

"Hmm, maybe" My mouth falls open in shock. He did not just maybe me. I am hungry, so I will get food no matter what. I slap his arm. He grabs it and pretends to be in pain. 

"OW OW! You hurt meeeeeeeeee!! You're so evil! How dare you" He whines like a 5 year old child. I roll my eyes.

"I would like some food now." I speak with authority. 

"Fine fine, let's eat." He flashes that bright smile that I'm lucky enough to see. 

We finally arrived. Xeno turns the ignition off and gets out of the car along with me.  We walk together towards the the door. He opens it for me and I walk in. We walk up the ordering area. I see a short dark skin lady. She has long brown box braids that meet her waist. She has plump peach colored lips, and honey brown eyes. She's wearing light make up, just the basics like mascara and eye liner. She's cute, I think to myself.  I smile at her and she smiles back. 

"Hello, what can i get for you this evening?"  I look up at the menu, and decide what I want to eat. I decided to just get my usual. I ordered the quarter pounder deluxe, with added bacon, no onions, large fries with extra salt, and a large sprite.

I look over to xeno giving him the go to order what he wants. He orders himself a quarter pounder with added bacon, no onions, large fries and a large slushie.

"Great, that'll be $11.28. For here or to go?" 

"For here" says Xeno. I go to pull out the cash from my wallet when he stops me and hands the cashier lady cash. She hands us a receipt and a cup then walks away. I walk over to the drink dispenser and get myself some ice. I press the button to pour myself some sprite. The lady calls Xeno to get his slushie. We both sat at the table in the far back corner and stared out into the sunset. The different colors that just fade into each other. I hear out number get called so I get up and get our tray.

I sit back at out table and started eating with Zeno. Mhmm this is good. Definitely what I needed. The salty crispy golden warm fries. The juicy meaty burger. The smokey crunchy bacon. It all hit just the right spot. 

I look up toward Xeno and notice that he's not paying attention. So i quickly move my hand across the table to his fries container. I quickly steal a fry and shove it into my mouth, barely able to contain my smile. He looks towards me in shock, my slightly ajar. 

"Why would you take my fry- Are you that fucking hungry I could've bought you some. And out of all fries, you chose to take MINE!? THERE'S FRIES LEFTOVER AT THE BOTTOM OF THE BAG! Eat those or starve. Not only are you stealing, but you're taking from a poor black child. Starving ass. And yea! I am that broke that I needed that one fry. On all days? I let you in the car and this is how you act? Have some respect! Fry thief! Hell is hot, and I bet that one fry was too"

I laughed so hard, literal tears were forming at the brim of my eyes. I could hardly breathe. He went off on my over a fry. I start to choke on my spit. I pound on my chest gasping for hair while continuing to laugh.

"Ha karma for stealing my shit then proceeding to laugh about it. Hope you learned your lesson bitch." I finally catch my breath and calm down from laughing so much. I wipe the tears from my eyes. I hand  him the rest of my fries then continue to devour my burger.

"Okay so.. The plan so far is to go to a friend of mine who I trust. But the downfall here is that they live in New York. So do you want to make a couple of stops or take it in one drive?"

I think it through. This could turn into a road trip. We could stop at different places and explore. 

"Make a couple stops. Let's make this a road trip and explore. Have fun you know? Bond" I say with a huge bright smile on my face. I haven't smiled this big in so long.

"Sure, I don't mind that. But let's make a deal, yea?" 

"Wassup?" I question him. What deal could he possibly make?

"We take turns driving and paying for gas?" seems fair enough to me.

"Sure I don't mind" 

"okay, finish up so we can start looking for a decently rated hotel near us to crash at for the night."

"Okay xen. I call dibs on the bed though. You get couch. Hehehehehe." I laugh evilly. 

"No, we're sharing or fighting" I roll my eyes at him. Gosh why is he so stubborn.

"Fine whatever.
