When Jonathan Tennyson went to Gotham, he finds out that Batman was long gone, and because of it, Gotham returned to its chaotic state. Now he has to count on the Gotham Knights (Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl and Red Hoo...
(At Gotham City, a limousine is seen, and inside of it is the current Gotham Mayor along with his advisor.)
Mayor: Three years... We've come so far in just three short years...
Advisor: The sign of a strong leader, sir.
(The mayor looks to see how quiet and peaceful Gotham had somehow become as some children are playing football.)
Mayor: No -- the will of a strong people. (to his advisor) And one very able advisor.
Advisor: Thank you, sir.
Mayor: Your team deserves credit as well, Mr. Tennyson.
(Then Henry Tennyson is seen along with his two best friends Marinette DuPain Cheng and Mark Grayson.)

Henry: Just doing our job, Mr. Mayor.
Mayor: I must admit, I once thought of the Bat-Family or groups like yours as opportunists -- enablers of war. But you've fought well -- order has returned sooner than expected.
(As the limousine goes on, four figures are seen watching it before resuming their patrol in the city.)
(Back to the limousine.)
Mayor: Maybe I was wrong about these "superheroes".
Henry: Most of my cousin's team focused in providing protection to the milky way. Just like we're focusing in protecting cities.
Mayor: Yes, well, "protection" can mean many things...
(The limousine passes through a memorial which serves as a reminder of a great hero Batman once was before the Knightfall Protocol.)
Henry: There's a saying I like: "One sword keeps another in the sheath." Sometimes, the threat of violence alone is a deterrent. Sometimes, by taking a life, others can be preserved. It's the code the samurai lived by...
Mayor: Mm... A plumber and a philosopher. You are full of surprises, Mr. Tennyson.
Henry: I could say the same about you, Mr. Mayor.
(Then the limousine walks away and suddenly the screen goes black.)
