S2 E6: Wrong Place, Wrong Time

The four guardian ninja were in one of the Bounty's inner training rooms, practicing with Lloyd. 

"Your new body is a fighting instrument. Listen to it," Wu stated. The four ninja circled Lloyd, who closed his eyes and took a deep breath, waiting patiently for the signal to begin. [M/n] stood at Wu's side, overseeing the training session so he had an idea of what he would be teaching* Lloyd.

"Begin."

The ninja jumped at Lloyd, only to be doged and thrown back by the younger. Zane tried to use his shurikens to pin Lloyd but he dodged and they flew past him, slamming into the watermelon Nya was holding.

She and Zane gasped, as she almost dropped it. The samurai glared at the ninja, who gave her a sheepish look, before she joined [M/n] and Wu in the corner of the room.

"Since he's grown, he's learning faster, Sensei," Nya noted.

"But will it be enough to challenge Lord Garmadon? Only time will tell." 

Kai drew his sword on Lloyd, swing it downwards at his head. Lloyd stepped back, and caught it between his hands, charging up his energy to shatter the sword. Kai used that chance to jerk the sword towards himself, dragging Lloyd off balance. 

"Hahaha, you're getting pretty good, but that move you fell for was basic 101," Kai pointed out, grinning.

""Yeah, if I had focused more when I was little, I would've seen that coming." Kai helped pull him up from where he'd fallen to his knees. 

"We cannot change the past, but we can improve for the future," Wu added.

[M/n] crossed the room to check on Lloyd, making sure he was alright, "Well done, Liakáda. Keep practicing."

"Again, and this time, do not hold back."

Before they could begin, Zane stood straight, eyes flashing. "The Falcon has returned with troubling news."

Zane led them all up to the bridge, hooking up the Falcon to the big screen, "What did you see my mechanical-feathered friend?" 

The screen went from black to an aerial picture of the sandy buildings and arena of Ourobourus. 

"The Lost City of Ourobourus!" Nya gasped.

"Garmadon has returned to the Serpentine home base, but why?" Kai questioned.

"Looks like they're preparing for a final battle," Cole answered, as Wu turned to [M/n] and Lloyd, who both wore expressions of determination.

"Nya, change course. We'll head straight for them," Wu decided. Nya nodded, and they were off, heading straight for Ourobourus. They all prepared for battle, sharpening their weapons and their wit. 

Night had fallen by the time the Bounty made it to Ourobourus, hidden behind a large rock outcropping. Slipping down the anchor, they all kept in the shadows, slipping through the Serpentine's defences until they made it to the arena. 

"More firepower! When we attack the ninja, they won't see it coming. Our forces will be so strong, Ninjago will be mine!" Lord Garmadon shouted, crying out when a Serpentine soldier accidentally used a blow torch on his Mega Weapon. 

"Ninja, go!" Wu jumped out surrounded by his golden Spinjitzu.

"Oh, brother!" Garmadon snarled.

"It's time we finished this," Wu stated, as the four guardians and Nya jumped out to join him. 

"Bring it on, fools!" Lloyd jumped out from his hiding spot, freezing the Mega Weapon to Garmadon's hand so he couldn't use it. [M/n] chose to slowly slink out of the shadows, eyes glowing behind his mask. Most of the nearby Serpentine soldiers, backed away at the sight of the Assassin.
