Samaira looked up from his chest at his face. He came here. All the way to protect her. This is what she wanted all her life.
"Papa." She cried again.
Advitya looked down at her. He never thought that someone's tears, who isn't Meera would affect him so much. Each sob that breaks out of Samaira pierced his soul. If only he reached a little earlier, he could've saved her from whatever the fuck these two men said to her. He held Samaira by her shoulders and pulled her up.
Kartik gets up from the ground too and tries to talk to her. "I don't want to talk to you Mr. Raghuvanshi. Please leave me alone."
"Samaira please. Atleast listen to me once, then you ca-"
"She said no. Stop imposing her with your ways and words. She'll talk to you when she wants to. Till then, stay the hell away from my daughter." With that, Advitya takes Samaira out to the car he parked a few meters away. She sees guards on the ground outside.
That's why papa is hurt. He fought all these too.
They sit in the car and Advitya drives them to Samaira and Abhimanyu's house. None of them spoke a word but the second they enter the house, all the calmness drains out. "What were you thinking Samaira? Why didn't you fight back? Why were you waiting for him to kill you? I know you're very well capable of protecting yourself."
Even though his face lacked emotion, his eyes held all of it. Anger, concern and a hint of fear. What if they lost her? What if he didn't reach on time? What answer would he have given to his son? His son would've been a broken man. He would've failed as a father to both his son and his daughter.
Samaira sighed. She doesn't have the energy. "I am tired papa. Of everything. They took Abhimanyu. They probably still have him. He is in this mess because of me. Your hand is bleeding because of me. Caden got hurt for me. How long will this go on for? How many more people bleed before this ends? It's better to just be done with this bother." Advitya ran his hand through his hair.
"SAMAIRA!!" They both turn to see Meera standing a few feet away. For the first time Samaira saw her angry. "Stop thinking like that. Firstly, Abhimanyu is fine. He is upstairs. And secondly, sacrificing yourself won't get you anything. You need to understand that everyone that is trying to protect you cares for you," she grabbed her shoulder "Do you want all the blood they've spilled go to waste? We are your family beta, we care for you, we love you. We can't let you lose a battle when you've fought it all your life. This isn't how it works."
"And don't you ever just sit there and wait for them to attack you, you're a brave woman, fight like it. Don't sit there to die like you did today." Samaira nodded at Advitya's words.
"SHE DID WHAT?!" They all look at Abhimanyu who was standing on top of the stairs. He walks down. He seems perfectly fine now that he has all his wounds dressed up. Meera turns to Advitya who nods at her. "We'll leave you two to talk." She turn to Abhimanyu and gives him a warning glare before walking out with Advitya.
