Everything was going great with you and Eren. You couldn't remember the last time you'd been this happy, but you never wanted it to go away.
You two spent fall break and Halloween together. However, you had to split up during Thanksgiving break because Eren had to visit his grandparents in New York.
Now it's winter break and you, Eren, Jean, and Mikasa, are sitting at Oui Pastries, drinking coffee and eating your usual orders of chocolate eclairs.
Getting to know Eren and his friends made you open up a bit more every time you were with them.
"So, what are you guys doing for winter break again?" You asked taking a sip of your coffee.
"Me and Jean are going to Paris with his parents for the first half of the break" Mikasa responded.
"Make sure you take pictures for me, Paris is like my dream vacation destination" you geeked out over the thought of traveling to France.
"Of course, I'll try and get you guys a souvenir too" Mikasa smiled.
"So Eren, you're gonna be all alone at the house for the first half of the break?" Jean asked.
"Yep, our dad is in New York for work, so I'll be celebrating Christmas all on my own" he faked a pout, looking over at you.
"You know I wouldn't let you stay by yourself for Christmas, and speaking of that, I already asked my parents if you could come with us to our annual family trip to Big Bear."
"Well, I don't wanna be a burden and take up valuable space" Eren protested.
"There'll be enough room for you, the cabin is pretty big, plus it's a black family trip. If there's not enough room we'll make room" you reassured him.
"If you insist" Eren grinned.
"And it would be a good opportunity for you to get to know my parents better, and meet my family"you didn't really know about bringing a boy you were only "dating" on a family trip, but you loved Eren's company and he would be alone on his own for Christmas so, why not?
It was just going to be hard explaining to your family that you weren't"officially" boyfriend and girlfriend...yet.
"Yeah Eren, it beats being home by yourself for the holidays" Mikasa and Jean both agreed.
"Oh, I'm going I just didn't wanna seem too eager to go" he smiled at you, gives your hand a light squeeze.

Opening the front door, you kicked off your shoes and placed them on the shoe rack. As you walked up the stairs, your phone vibrated and a message from Eren appeared.
