We three ended up back at our place, the dirt, bags, water and trees.

"Augh..."

"You good?" I heard Seviyn ask Morcant. He slightly nodded, taking out a bag of dried fruits.

"Don't eat it," Seviyn told him.
"Why not? I'm so hungry-"
"No, we need it, you heard her, our aimed place is far,"
"But if I die, it's okay,"
"What?"
"No one will mind if I die, it'll be easier, and I'm sure you guys will try to help me if I'm dying of hunger yes?"
"No,"
"Oh, then I can die, without being tormented before death,"
"Fine! Go take it! Eat it all!" He shouted, crossing his arms. Morcant smiled, and then laughed.

"What?!"
"You...are hilarious..."

He ignored him, and they sat in silence.

"We should start moving, c'mon,"

. . .

"Are we supposed to go straight..." Seviyn said.
"Aren't you leading us?" I remarked in rage.

"Guys it is straight, what's coming over you two? Anger? Impatience?" And with that, Morcant walked ahead, leading the way.

Me and Seviyn exchanged looks, and we stared at each other for two seconds, then followed him.

"We'll have to take a short left, we'll see a small pond, and then-" All I heard was nothing after, because Seviyn pulled me to his side.

"Why do you love him so much?" I walked slower.
He walked ahead of me. Running up to him, I say, "What?"
"I've seen you! Going to the tree with him! Spending your days with him-"
"Hey...he's lost himself for years, he's back now, and next time, tell me earlier," I walk to Morcant, speed walking.

I'm probably in trouble.

"How much longer do you reckon?"
"Days, or weeks, and I figured out what my leaf does,"
"What?"
"It's a great hammer and axe, it can chop down trees, people, and it's quite intimidating if you knew what it was,"
"Hey, that's awesome!" I sat, nudging his shoulder. He sheepishly smiled, and I asked him something quietly.
"Don't you think it's weird, that Seviyn has a shell on his boots?"
"Yeah, but we'll talk to him later, when he trusts me more,"
"He doesn't trust you?"
"Don't think so,"
"He's kissed your cheek, he's showing friendship!"
"To just calm me down and get answers..."
"He even hugged you though?"
"Yeah but- he didn't even care if I die, but I think he's personally awesome-"

I heard a cough behind us. We turned around to see Seviyn, and Morcant said, "Hey,"

He walked ahead, leaving me and Sev together.
"Follow him," He told me.

We followed Morcant for hours, until it was soon evening, and we decided to let Morcant hunt, again.

. . .

We were sitting down, when Morcant came back, tears in his eyes, hyperventilating, blood covered over his face, and a boar in his hand.

"Catch me..."
We stood up, but we were too late, letting him fall on his back, crying. He had fainted.
Shit everything.

We laid him down on the floor, taking turns to watch him, while cooking the boar. Ew...

. . .

He woke up, hyperventilating again, and tearing up once more.

"Morcant, shhh..." Seviyn said.
I wiggled my eyebrows at Morcant, friends.

Not a good time-

He sat up, calming down.

"Did you guys eat yet?!" He said.
"No, we're waiting for you," Sev replied.
Huh?

We took the boar off the stick, eating it.
"What happened?" I asked him, trying to chew the perhaps poisoned, perhaps safe meat.

"I...killed it, but there came this wolf. It stared at me, not killing me, it then ran away, taking the boar away. The boar came back, but so much more disgusting and worse. I came back for you guys, but there came the wolf again, I forgot about my leaf, which is a hammer by the way Seviyn. I killed it, but it said something, it was so weird- I couldn't-"

"You seem scared of weird things," Seviyn said.
"I'm not, the mermaid said something just as exact as the wolf,"
"It's perhaps something messing with you mind, or there is a message being sent to you by all creatures, you may be there King of nature,"
"What?!" I exclaimed suddenly.
"It's true," Seviyn said, nodding slowly.

"All I know is, that we aren't as safe as we think we are here, we need to move tomorrow, and quick. We need to reach the King before he sends his army,"
"The King has an army? Why didn't you tell us? What is it made of? Men? Animals? Morcant!" I shouted.
"That girl told us, when I was crying without you guys, she told me more and more horrible things,"
"You have to tell us!" I said.

He shook his head, "I can't, I'm not allowed to,"
I sighed in disappointment.
"You HAVE to tell us," Seviyn remarked sternly.

He shook his head again, even at Seviyn...

"You have to!" He said.

"No,"
"Fine, listen to that cursed woman in the water!"
"She isn't cursed," I interrupted. He ignored me, continuing to rip the meat off the boar.

"I'm going to go take a walk, don't come after me," Morcant said, cutting the silence. I wanted to respond, but he said, "You will die if you come with me, they understand me, and obviously don't know you two," He walked off, looking upon the pale moon that climbed on the trees from afar.

I sighed once more, drank water, and went to sleep.

I slept easily, and I think her special water was working.

I dreamt of someone, with a familiar tail, giving me something.

His crown.
