Dracula or Skeleton?

Costume Shopping with Katie and Samantha is extremely exhausting. We've been through more than twenty shops by now. Katie already bought a Mickey Mouse costume with a headband. She even found a red and white polka dots umbrella which we told her it won't be necessary since it was an indoor party. But Katie being Katie, she didn't take our advice.
However, Sam and I couldn't look for one. I found a witch costume a while ago but it didn't have my size. While Sam couldn't find the "right one" yet. After 4 hours, we decided to stop and eat at McDonalds. We talked about school, gossips and mainly about how are we spending our break. Katie told us that she would be spending the days after the Halloween Party at her grandmother's house. She said that her cousins will be coming. She wined about her cousin, Amanda, who she doesn't like at all. She said she was beyond spoiled and she likes getting everyone's attention.

"Remember last year? When she basically scolded the waiter because there wasn't a cheesecake in the buffet table?" Katie scoffed. It was her parent's silver anniversary and we all got invited to it. Katie got so mad at her to the point she "accidentally" spilled her juice on her.

"Of course Katie. We got to see your mean side.Who wouldn't remember that?" We laughed as we remember the situation. Her other aunt, Brenda, saw the incident and scolded her. She made excuse but obviously her aunt didn't believe in her.

It was already 8 in the evening when they finish everything they need to buy except me. We spent another hour butI still can't find the costume that I want. How about ask my mother to do it? Should I?

I finally got home and I decided that maybe I really need my mother's help.I found her in the living room, watching some Fashion series. I felt so nervous because maybe I can't convince her to make a halloween costume for me or like my ideas. Or perhaps maybe she's very busy. I gathered all my courage and sat next to her.

" Mom I can't find a costume that I want. We went in all store and I can't find it, do you think you can help me?"

I asked her. I'm so scared that she might reject me. It can feel like my heart beat is not beating normally. What if she's busy or she won't do it?

"Yes of course honey just tell me what kind of costume you want. Do you want to be something like a princess? Or pop star? "

I sigh as my mom replied. Good thing she agreed,now I won't be worrying about my costume.

" God,no mom! Why do I want to be a princess nor a popster? " I protested as she releases a chuckle. I think she wants me to be all girly but seriously no. Just no.

"Mom what do you think is the best for me? A Dracula or a skeleton." I asked.

" I think Dracula would suit you! You really have a weird taste hon!" She said as she went to dial her assistant Rosie to gather all the materials for my costume.

"Thank you mom." I hug her. I don't really like being affectionate towards anyone but I guess I should hug her to show my appreciation.

"Welcome hon, I will do everything for you!"

Yeah right.

I went in my room and called Sam to tell her the good news.

"Sam! Guess what, I have a costume for halloween already!!". I said it to her with a big smile in my face. If she can see me right now, she'll tell me I'm crazy.

"Wow that's great! So what did you get Dracula or Skeleton?" She asked me excitedly. Yes I hear how excited she was.

"Yeah I know, Mom said Dracula is better!" I told her.

"Omg you can totally sing Dracula by Bea Miller on Halloween!" She shouted me which me cringe.

"Well I can say it's my story and I've got my type." I changed some lyrics and sang it.

"You're making me excited!" She said. I can hear laughing too.

"I'm so excited Sam" I don't know why am I so excited for this. Maybe because I have a costume that I really like? Usually I hate any kind of parties. I hate being forced to socialize with people I don't even know. Well I guess this a change right? Maybe a right one? Hopefully it is.

"Wow! That's a first!" Sam replied.

"Shut up." I hang up after we said goodbyes.

What a crazy day.
