Once upon a time there was a man called Nate who moved to New York all the way from Salt Lake city in Utah for his new job as an editor for Non-Fiction Books at The Wild Rescuers Editing Company.A few months pass by and December finally arrives.Everyone starts to deccorate the office to make it look more cheerfully.Nate walks inside at 8 am on Wednesday,December 1st.
-Well hello there,Nate!, said Aspen cheerfully as he hands Nate a box of ornaments.Come on,the boss said we can decorate the office today.
-Oh...Uh,no thanks.Im just going to my station and start revising Stark's novel ,he answers.
-No,come on!Martin said we can work on our stuff later. Why don't you want to decorate? Its Christmas in a few weeks! Or have you forgot?
-I dont celebrate Christmas anymore,sorry..As he hands the box back into Aspen's hands,he dissapeared into the crowd of cheerfully people running around trying to decorate The Wild Rescuers HQ.
Some time later....
Nate walks out of the office at 7 pm.The streets are allready fully decked-out for Christmas. He treats himself to a hot chocolate from the Starbucks across the street from his apartment block. As he returns,he notices a small box in his mailbox.
-Hm?Who would possibly send me a package...Nate wondered.
As he opens his mailbox and reads the adress it was clear now who sent him the package. Forest Rangers Road, number 76,Utah.His mother's posh handwriting was noticeable on the carefully-chosen wrapper.
He takes the package inside his flat and he places it on his kitchen's island. He gets a call right in that seccond."Momma-Bear" he reads on his screen. He hesitates at first but he picks up the call.
-Hey Nate! How are you? his mother's calm voice filled the empty room.
-Hey mom and dad.Im fine, just got back from work.
-Did you get my package? I hope it arrived in time, his mother asked.
-Yes,it just did.But I haven't opened it yet....
-Oh!Oh!This is exciting then!! Open it right now and turn on your camera!!
-Do I really have to?Nate whimpered.
-Yes of course! Your mother went crazy today thinking the packages- dad gets poked by mom and he corrects himself- I mean *cough* the package wouldn't arrive today.
-Allright dad...Lemme set you down down here...
Nate unwraps the box.Inside he gets greeted with a note,in his mother's handwriting. The note reads: "As all love stories start,me and you father met in a bookstore. He looked so magicall I almost tought I have fallen asleep reading Twilight and now I was dreaming.May this book-shaped ornament may be the start of your own love story.- mum <3
-Well,do you like it? Now go hang it in your tree!! Wait, dont you have a tree,Nate?
-No mother,I did not get one...
-Well you have to! Or else I will make your father drive there himself with one!
-Fine,geez.I will try to get one next week.Im still busy at work.I have to go now,bye mom and dad! Talk to you later.
Nate looks outside his window and notices workers had allready started to put up the Rockefeller Christmas Tree.
-Ugh,Christmas...So annoying, with all those colourfull lights and carols! *he closes the curtains and gets ready for bed...*
