"I've called Shane a thousand times. Why is he not answering?" I ask my best friend.
"He's probably busy with work stuff or something. Just relax." Adam tells me.
"Easy for you to say. You don't have a brother that loves to be mad to you." I say dryly.
"I know. But I do have four sisters and I got my own problems. Trust me."
'Whatever." I say and roll me eyes and him.
We've been driving all night, and both of the girls fell asleep and it's just me and Adam talking now. The main thing going through my head right now is why my brother isn't answering my calls. I can't believe I left Claire with Adam's mom. If we're caught, I'm so screwed.
"Do you really like Noah?" Adam asks me pulling me away from my thoughts about my brother.
"Yeah, I think so. I don't really do relationships so it's kinda new." I admit to him.
"She seems cool."
"Thanks."
Adam saying she's cool is him approving of her. This means a lot to me since he’s my best friend. I just hope he doesn’t stay with Erika for very long, because my two year old niece is smarter then her.
"Are you sure you know where you're going?" I ask him since I want to get out of the car.
"Yeah, the GPS says that we have like another two and half hours to go. Can you drive I'm getting tired?" He asks me.
I sigh an over dramatic sigh and say, "Fine, only for a little while though. This trip was not my idea." I tell him.
"I know, I know." He says and pulls over so we can switch seats.
I drive for like a half hour while everyone else is sleep. But I get bored with no one talking to me so I start honking the horn over and over again until everyone wakes up.
"I'm going to kill you in your sleep." Adam groans and sits up the right way.
"I'll help." Noah says to him.
"I was bored so I needed to wake you guys up." I say while laughing.
"Hey, doesn’t Logan live around here?" Adam says talking about an old friend.
"Not sure. Text him." I suggest.
Logan, Adam, and I were the trouble makers of our school. We use to get into all kinds of trouble anywhere we were. Logan moved away right before our freshmen year and we rarely get to see him. He lives with his momso we don't see him much. His dad is the one who lives by us. For a while, school wasn't really the same with out him. We managed but I miss him like hell. And I'm positive Adam dose too.
Adam takes the GPS and puts in a different address. "Um hey, I don't know where I'm going remember?" I look over at him. "Go here instead." He tells me and gives me a smile.
"We're going to go see Logan aren't we?" I ask and get a smile to match with Adam's.
"You guys wanna explain who Logan is?" Erika pipes up from the backseat.
"An old friend. You guys will like him." I say back to her.
"His girlfriend is over so you guys can talk about shoes or something." Adam tells us.
"And what if I don't want to talk about shoes?" Noah fires at him.
"Whoa, Then what would you like to talk about? Adam says turning and facing her.
"Don't worry about it." She says to him. I look at her in the rear view mirror and she winks at me, which makes me smile at her.
It isn't long before we get to Logan's house, and it's huge. No shock why his mom moved them here. As soon as we pull into his driveway his whole family comes out of the house and greets us. I guess his mom got remarried since she's pregnant and holding hands with some guy.
