How can you be this stupid?

Cole

"Cole....MR. COOPER!" My math teacher screeches at me because I'm asleep in class, yet again.

"My apologize ma'am." I say with an eye roll, if she wanted me to be awake she shouldn't make class so damn boring.

To keep my self from drifting off again, I start thinking about Noah. My life is has been nothing but great from the moment I got her back. I can't believe I almost let her go. I'll never do something that stupid ever again. I'm just happy my life is finally starting to get better.

The bell rings signaling that class is over and I can finally freaking leave this boring ass class. "Wait, before you leave pick up your chapter tests from last week!" I groan, I suck at math so I'm going to get another D- on a stupid test.

Everyone rushes to the door so we can go home and I'm the last one in line to pick up my test. Once everyone's out of the door Ms. Plume hands me my hands with a bright red A on the top pf the paper. "I'm impressed Mr. Cooper." She says with a smile, to tell you the truth I didn't know she was capable of smiling. "Thanks." I return the smile and walk out of class to find Adam and Logan waiting for me.

"Took you long enough, I thought you hated her?" Logan says while texting on his phone.

"I do, but she gave me an A, so who cares?"

"Dude you got a 90, one more missed question and you would have gotten a B+" He jokes. Logan is in all honors and advanced placement classes. In simpler words, he's really smart.

We walk to my car and I see Noah, waiting for me there. She gives me her sweet smile and I pull her into a kiss.

"Get a room! Gross!" Logan and Adam kid with us and we get in the car and drive to Shane's new house.

"Turn up the heat!" Noah yells at me from the living room while I'm in the kitchen making popcorn for the movie we're all about to watch.

I turn on the heater and sit back down on the couch with my friends. "Damn I can't wait until spring." Adam says and we all agree. "I know like the cold until Christmas, but since it's past I really miss the heat." I say and we laugh and start our movie.

I hear the garage door open and I know Shane's home.  He was acting really weird this morning, he said he had something to tell me but they he changed his mind, I'm not sure what his deal is lately.

"Oh how I love to come home and see my house full of messy teenagers." He says standing in front of the tv.

"Dude we're watching a movie, you're totally in the way." I throw a handful of popcorn at him.

"Damnit Cole, you're cleaning this up later."

"Why are you so moody? Is it your time of the month again?" The four of us laugh and I feel someone tug on my hair, I look up and see Drew standing above me, I wasn't even aware he was in the house.

"Cole, it's time for your friends to go home." Shane tells me. It's rare that Shane ever kicks people out so something was up.

"Where's the baby?" I ask, I don't want Noah to leave yet I hope I can stall him.

Drew throws his keys at Adam. "Go drop off the girl and get Claire." He demands and the three of them get up and leave right away.

"Am I in trouble or something? I didn't do anything." I start to protest because maybe I did do something that I forgot about or something, who knows?

"You're not in trouble, I am." Shane says under this breath but I can still manage to make out what he's saying.

"Okay, one of you needs to start explaining." I say right as someone rings our doorbell. We aren't use to having a door bell because our apartment didn't have one. It's kinda nice.

"Who the fuck is that." Shane says but he mixes it with a sigh. I don't know what's going on but it's not good.

"Britt, why are you here?" Shane sounds pissed.

"I just got back from my honeymoon, and I wanted to come see Claire and you're new house. What’s your problem cranky pants? Hey, Cole has he been like this all day?" Brittany starts to ramble.

I turn to Drew for some answers but he's stone cold. I know Shane and him know what's going on. They were going to tell me before Brittany randomly showed up.

"Britt, I don't want to sound like a buzz kill but I was just in the middle of a serious talk with Shane and Drew." I say trying to cover for Shane. I see him give me a crooked smile behind our sister.

"What were you guys talking about?" She doesn't really care; all she cares about is going through our pantry. This is what she’s doing.

"Uh, it's kinda personal..." I say hoping she'd buy it.

"Yeah but I'm your sister, what is it?"

I'm stalling, I'm not sure what I should say here but I do want to talk to Shane. "I had a wet dream for the first time last night. Damn, are you happy now?" I say annoyed, secretly I'm praying she buys it.

"Oh, I didn't um... I should go." Her face turns to a deep shade red.  "Next time, I'll text you before I come over." She avoids eye contact with me and leaves.

"You know she won't be able to look at you the same way right?" Shane chuckles to himself.

"Whatever, I'm willing to pay the price, now what's up?"

"What do you mean?" Shane questions me.

"I thought you had something to tell me?" I ask confused.

"What do you think about Hannah moving in here with us in a few months?" He asks in all seriousness.

"Her and her two kids?" I raise my eyebrows at him. Is he serious? Why would we want three babies in this place, sure it's big enough but that's too much?

"Yeah..."

"Are you crazy? Dude, we just got here! That's three babies! Shane get a grip here!" I almost want to mentally slap him for even mentioning this!

"Four." He says

"Four what?" Now I'm lost.

"Four babies." Shane says to me and I look at Drew who's looking down at his feet.

"Shane, you have one baby and she has two, that's three babies. Please don't tell me..."I trail off.

"Cole, I got Hannah pregnant."

"Are you fucken joking?" I ask him.

"No, I'm not joking. I'm having a second kid." He says with a sigh.

"I could see being stupid enough to do it the first time, but again? Really? How can you be that stupid! Are you freaking kidding me? You're a fucken moron! I can't believe you could be stupid enough to do this again! What's wrong with you? What happens if Hannah leaves with your new baby and you aren't part of it's life!? Do you ever think before you bang someone!? Fuck, you yell at me but I always use a condom! I'm not a complete dumbass like you!"

I would have continued to rant but I was stopped by Shane's fist colliding into my face. I mean I wasn't mad because it was pretty called for, Lord knows what else I would have said if I kept going.

I really can't believe my brother did this again.
