I hear him in the bathroom. The minute he entered my apartment I knew who it was. After years of being as vigilant as I was I became a light sleeper, plus his scent was stamped into my brain.
It sounded like he is brushing his teeth. I got out the bed lifting my pillow I remove my 9mm and stood off to the side of the room that was darkest and waited.

As he stepped into the room closing the door softly behind him and turn towards the bed I lifted My right hand pressed the nozzle of  the gun up to the back of his head with out saying a word. He stood there motionless as if assessing the situation. I heard him sigh as his shoulders slumped.

I was not gonna shoot him but I would not tell him that. Matter a fact I wouldn't say anything to him. I stood there with the gun to his head angry and hurt. Why was he even here right now?

He turned around and held on to my wrist and gently  took the gun from my hand and I let him, still no words were spoken. Just us standing there looking into each other's eyes for what felt like hours. He picked me up bridal style and I let him. He placed me on the bed and covered me with the blankets and I let him. He walked to the other side of the bed and placed the gun on the chair where his cloths were, he than closed the bedroom door. The  light coming under the door filled the room with a tiny glow. He came into the bed and gathered me to him. Still no words. He started kissing me all over my face and neck I tried not to moan. I inhaled his scent and relaxed into his arms. I was exhausted and vulnerable but he made me feel safe.

"Amanda I am gonna speak and I want you to listen." He said softly
I did not respond but he continued. 
" First let me apologize even tho I did not kiss that lady back I should have reacted quicker. I  need you to know that I would never ever cheat on you. From the beginning I have told you everything except one thing and I will tell you that soon. I am not a cheater never has been and I won't start now. I take this union between you and I too seriously to do anything that would cause us to be at odds or to hurt your feelings. We can't be at odds when we should be watching each other's backs.  From this day on It's me and you against the world babygirl, complete trust,honesty and transparency". I nodded so that he knew I heard him.

He signed before speaking again.

"Stephanie and the man she came here with were here to cause trouble. She was here to distract me while the man kidnapped you. I did not know until after you came in. Baby you have to trust me a little more than this ......."

At those words my body stiffen and my brain began to race the very people I had be hiding from has finally found me. Jason was speaking but I don't hear a word. Panic was setting in. I could not do this again. I had to fix this issues once and for all because I will not run or hide anymore.

Time to put on my big girl draws and do what I should have two and a half years ago.

"People ago dead"

"Why did they want to kidnap me"  I asked Jason trying to see what he knew.

"That is what I was explaining babe". he said pulling me closer to him. Just then his phone began to ring. He got up off the bed and took the phone from his pants pocket.
I took the opportunity to go to the kitchen and go get some water I was not thirsty I just needed to move my body to try and slow my mind.
