Yep, this will be the last chapter.

But a heck of a lot will happen in order to make up for it, so read on.

============================

Could I believe it? Well, I wonder about that. But the numbers don't lie, for I now had twelve girls that became my soulmates. I consider that to be a big harem of sorts. But I couldn't complain, this was the kind of love I had always wanted, and with happiness to boot.

It was the weekend and I needed a bit of time to myself after the previous three days when I went on three dates in a row and there was something else on my mind. Luna said she had something that was given to her, I guess it was time to check up on her.

"Say, Luna?" I called from the bedroom. "You still here?"

She then appeared next to my bed. "Yeah?"

"So, what's this evaluation you mentioned about?"

Her smile faded. "Oh, that...I guess I can tell you now that we have a bit of free time."

We sat on the bed together and she seemed concerned.

"You know that we are to stay with our contract until their goal is fulfilled, right?" She asked.

"Yeah?"

"Well, it seems that you've gathered a huge amount of girls and with what you've accomplished with my help, I wrote a report to my master and I got an evaluation report from him."

I looked at her. "And what did it say?"

"That he was praising me for saving your life and giving you the love and happiness you wanted with those girls becoming your soulmates."

"But you don't seem happy though."

"Well, that's because he also said that with your goal of finding love accomplished, my contract in supporting you will be coming to an end." She looked at me. "So when it's the end of this month, I'll have to return to where the Six Heroes watch over the world in secret."

I shrugged. "Well, that doesn't sound bad. You can still see me, right?"

"Nope, not even close. Once we've finished our contracts with a mortal, we're not allowed to see them again. Due to fear of personal attachment hindering our progress."

"Oh..." I looked down. "...well that kinda sucks. What kind of hero would think that way?"

"Well, that's what Hakumen thinks, but who cares about that moody jerk?"

"Who?"

"Anyway, I hope you won't forget all I did for you." She smiled. "I'm sure you'll be able to handle the love for years to come."

"It'll be difficult without your guidance, but I'll try." I replied. "Thanks for everything, Luna."

"Yeah, no probs."

We then cuddled for a while before I heard a knock on the door.

"Hold on, let me get that."

Luna vanished and I opened the front door to see my dad.

"Surprise, son!" My dad greeted me.

"Oh, Dad? What brings you to my home?" I asked.

"Have you checked the news?"

"No, why?"

"Switch the TV on."

I used the TV remote and the TV showed a breaking news report.
