By now, both knew that whatever was in front of them could block attacks by an invisible wall. "It seems it can block any attack," Uzui exclaimed. "Then we have to just attack it with enough force," he continued, now running towards it with Shinobu, who was ready to attack it with her blade as well. The metal thing's eyes started to glow and it started shooting some kind of energy ray towards Uzui at high speed while also raising its two sharp legs or claws to attack Shinobu with are on par with her. Uzui pulled one of his big blades towards the incoming ray in the hope of blocking it, but the ray passed through, melting its blade and going towards Uzui, who didn't have time to dodge it but stepped aside. His shoulder was missing a chunk of flesh and he screamed as he was feeling unimaginable pain since his wound was melting. Shinobu, who saw it, exclaimed "Uzui!!" She then blocked the thing's sharp leg with her special blade, surprised to see that it was not blocked by an invisible wall. She jumped away and ran towards Uzui, who was panting heavily while controlling his breathing. She took a quick look at his wound while also keeping an eye on that thing. She was horrified to see his wound as his flesh was melting and producing a sizzling sound. She quickly extracted a syringe containing pan killer medicine and stabbed it into his injured arm. Both of them were forced to jump away to dodge that thing's share claw that dug into the ground. Shinobu could swear that she even heard a cutting sound of air being cut. But now she has to worry about Uzui, who is injured. But knowing him, it would take a lot more than to take Uzui out, so she now focused solely on that thing which looked towards it as well. It ran towards Shinobu to attack her, but she dodged it and stabbed it from upwards, then jumped away when her attacks were again blocked by an invisible wall. So now thfight between them has been changed into a chase by Shinobu, jumping from tree to tree while occasionally dodging the rays of burning magma. Uzui joined it as well, occasionally trying to attack that thing, but all was useless when an indivisible wall blocked his attacks. At one point, Uzui wasn't able to dodge that thing's claw, which resulted in being thrown back some meters away and hitting his head while losing consciousness. Shinobu was frustrated, so filled with anger, she used one of her strongest insect breathing forms. "Insect Breathing; Dance of the Centipede." With that, she rushed towards that thing with a speed she had never achieved before.
She ran in a zigzag pattern in order to confuse that thing while also closing the distance. Her speed was so great that the ground beneath her cracked with force, and the wind made surrounding tree leaves or dust fly. The zigzag pattern must have worked as that thing started moving its head right to left to keep up with her while not moving. Shinobu closed the distance between them and thrust her sword with all her strength and raged with anger towards it. Her sword was again blocked by that invisible wall, but this time the force of the collision made a small shockwave of air and the thing was even pushed back, but very little almost a few millimeters. Her attack was easily knocked her attack away, and she jumped away with the last of her strength as the thing's sharp leg raised towards her. She could feel her body heavy due to fatigue and be putting all her strength into one single attack. She cursed herself for being so weak, and she soon started feeling the darkness consuming her. She felt peaceful for a moment. For the first time, Hashira accepted defeat, and when she was about to close her eyes she heard the very familiar voice of a female, "Shinobu !! Don't Give Up" She snapped out of a trance and realized she was dodging the claws of that thing. She knew she could beat it, but she refused to give up right away, and she collapsed to the ground, no longer feeling her legs. Then the thing ran to Shinobu to deal the final blow, but it stopped and looked to its left, seemingly looking towards a figure standing nearby a tree watching them. For any human, it was almost impossible to see in this darkness and even sense his presence. It ran towards the figure and raised its leg to attack it, but the figure disappeared. A slashing sound was heard and reappeared, then behind it stood a little far away from Shinobu to her left, but it was enough for her to see its face. She was horrified to see whom she thought to be her savior for a moment. The figure standing was a demon, a Upperrank, and a Upperrank 1, to be exact.

With that, the thing's eye started glowing, and it shot burning magma towards Kokushibo, who simply dodged it and was surprised to see it pass right through the trees behind him. He put his hand on his sword hilt with all his eyes watching the thing warily. And with that, he disappeared and reappeared in front of it.
Well, another chapter is done. I know it is too long but I don't know how to make it short, to be honest sorry for that. I am still learning but if you have any suggestions or any questions please do tell me. Also, tell me how you like this story until now( only three parts To be honest). THis chapter still needs editing as it has many unnecessary sentences. i will edit in future.
