11 : Children For One Night

Eren POV

'WAS THAT LEVI?!' the thought ran through my mind as the small bell on the door rang before seeing a shadow run away.

'Shit, why of all times!' I mentally yelled at myself. "Uh sorry ladies, can you cover for me just this once? There's an emergency." I say grabbing my coat before they even respond. "Alright honey, just this time, after all we wouldn't want your lady getting the wrong idea." The ladies giggled. "Thanks, I owe you guys!" I say about ready to head out. "None needed hon'!" They shout as I run out the door.

I ran, didn't know where I was going, but I just ran the way Levi did. The direction he headed off to was opposite to my apartment. I hope the kitten is okay.

I ran to the convince store, empty. I ran to the pond, empty. I ran to the bridge, also empty. 'Where are you Levi?' I thought as I looked across the bridge where the water ran. And by some miracle after wandering through two blocks of neighborhoods, I was at a park. And there he was, laying on the bottom of a slide. He was looking at the stars, water seeping from his eyes.

I approached the slide, I had no plan. "Y'know, kids won't be able to slide down with you in the way, also it's a safety hazard." I say crouching next to him. He turned to me, shock and surprise on his face. He quickly sat up, looking away to wipe his tears, before saying "What do you want."

"Shouldn't you be flirting with girls at work?" He says still looking away. "Look, you've got it wrong-." "What so now you're calling me a liar, I know what I saw! Just leave already." He says before burying his face in his knees.

"Levi, I wasn't flirting with them, I was thanking them." I say, peeking his interest. "What do you mean, 'thanking them'?" He says turning his face to me.

His eyes were red and moist with sadness, his face inflated with despair and anger, and to think he looked beautiful even in a state of sadness. Only someone with so much love for him could see his beauty.

"They helped me confess my love for you. They helped me realize how much you mean to me, and that I couldn't go another day without you being mine." I say looking into his glossy eyes, so fragile as though they were made of delicate glass. He looked at me whispering "Really? So then you don't like them, like you like...me?" He hesitantly said, tears caressing his face.

"Yes, I mean it. I love you and my love for you will never extinguish, no matter what happens." I clasped his hands in mine, and kissed his hands "I love you Levi." I say looking up into his still glossy eyes. "With all my heart, my heart that only beats for you. So please understand that my love, your love, our love will be the ember that will never go out."

He hugged me, "Eren I really hope you mean it, I love you with all my soul, my heart is yours." He whispers in my ear. I hugged him tightly "I mean every word Levi, you're my love, my everything." I whisper to him. I let go not before kissing him.

It lasted forever in my head, but like all great things, it came to an end. We pulled away from each other, gasping for air. I placed my forehead against his, still gasping, I managed to say a couple words. "I love you Levi, for as long as I live and forever in the next life." "I love you Eren, and I'm sorry for misunderstanding." "It's fine, I'm just glad your mine." I smiled at him and he smiled back.

"How did you even manage to find me?" He chuckled holding my hand. "To be honest, I wandered here, maybe love has a tracker on you." I laugh. "It seems so." Levi said snuggling into my arms.

"Y'know Levi, I have to day off wanna have fun at this convenient park we're at. I don't think I've been here since my parents passed." I say looking at him. "Sure why not, you are still a kid after all." He laughed running to the swings. "Hey! I'm gonna be 18 in a couple of days y'know!" I shout running after him. "Is that so, big man?" He laughed as he sat down on the swing. I got behind him and pulled the chains towards me. "Yeah, so I'm not a kid anymore." I say kissing him.

fter about an hour or two we lied down on the grass exhausted. "I really am an old man." Levi said out of breath. "You don't even look a day over 15." I laugh as he playfully punched me on the shoulder. "Asshole, why're you out of breath? I thought you'd have more energy?" "Well, being with you is always great, so I have no time to think about my limit." "I guess that makes sense."

I held his hand as we looked at the stars. It was nice, it felt like we were children, without a care in the world. But more than anything, it felt perfect being with Levi.

Levi POV

His hand was warm in this freezer of a night. I looked over to him, he was lost in the stars. He must've caught me looking because then he said, "Something wrong?" "Nothing wrong at all." I say as I snuggled close to him and he pulled me in.

We stayed like that for a while before he said. "We should head home, Levi's probably waiting." "Hey, should we change his name, it could get confusing at times?" I say. "I was thinking the same thing. I thought maybe 'Autumn' would be a good name, I always liked the name." He says pulling me off the ground. "Yeah I think that sounds nice."
"Alright Levi, let's go home then." He said pulling me in his arm as we walked.
