"Oh my God, remember that time when we were little, probably like 8 years old and I came down her one Summer? We decided to go to the beach, and you stole my bucket and called me a doofus and then ran off with it. You went to Chris and high fived each other and then in a matter of like 30 seconds you came back and gave it to me because you felt bad." I recalled, "How do you even remember all of that?" Matt chuckles, "I don't know, it's just like, I have the worst but best memory, it's weird, but I like it." I shrug.

"Okay Matt, truth, or dare?" Chris asks with a mischievous smile on his face, "Hmm. Dare!" Matt challenges, smiling back at his younger brother.

"I dare you to go steal Annika's sand bucket and then call her a doofus." Chris challenges, smiling to himself at his dare.

"But that's mean. And she's playing with her bucket right now." Matt says, looking behind him at the brunette girl who was smiling as she played with sand by herself, Justin and Nick watching her every now and again while they swam in the ocean.

"So? Come on. We're eight now. Enough of that baby, feel bad stuff." Chris points out, "Fine." Matt sighs in defeat, knowing that Chris won't let him free on this.

"Unless you want to give me 20 bucks?" Chris smirks, "No! I'm trying to save up for that remote control car and I only need ten more bucks! There's no way I'm giving that to you!" Matt exclaims, "Okay then go complete the dare!" Chris replies.

Matt groans as he stands up and walks over to Annika, pulling up his swim trunks that were just a size bigger than his normal size.

"Hey Matt. Wanna play with me?" Annika asks, smiling up at Matt who stood above her with a malicious smile plastered on his face.

Instead of replying, Matt reaches down and grabs the bucket of sand, dumping it out in front of Annika saying, "Ha-ha doofus."

"Hey! I was playing with that!" Annika exclaims, standing up. "Too bad, doofus." Matt screeches before running away back to Chris.

Annika watches as Matt runs away with her bucket and towards Chris who laughs and gives Matt a high five.

Annika plops back down on her butt with a pout.

Before she knew it, she felt Matt grab both sides of her head with his small hands and he was tilting her head up.

Nick and Justin watched the two interact with each other. They spent their whole lives watching the two grow love for each other. But of course, as Justin got older and learned to separate from his brothers, the thought of Annika and Matt's relationship became less important to the older Sturniolo brother. That didn't mean he didn't care who his brother's got involved with romantically, because he did care, he just grew to stop trying so hard for them. He told Nick that if they were actually meant to be, they wouldn't need other people pushing them together. He always said, "the best things come naturally" and he stuck with that.

Nick smiled to Justin.

"I think they like each other." Justin says, looking down at his younger brother.

"Me too. But we barely see Annika and Mrs. Cameron, are you sure he doesn't forget about her when they go back to Florida?" Nick asks, "He doesn't. He can't. None of us can. Annika and her mom are like family to us. We don't forget about them, and they don't forget about us." Justin answers.

"But it's weird to have a crush on family." Nick states, "No Nick, I'm saying that we're all close LIKE one big family. We aren't actual family." Justin clarifies.

"You're so confusing." Nick states before running into the crashing waves of the water.

"I'm sorry for stealing your bucket. Chris dared me to." Matt says to Annika, taking his hands away from her face and handing Annika the bucket.

"It's okay." Annika smiles, "But you called me a doofus." She pouts.

"Well, you are a doofus." Matt laughs, sitting down in front of Annika.

"So which sandcastle are we making?" he asks.

The cold, 6 am breezy wind blows on my face, waking me up a bit more as me and Matt walk hand in hand through a parking lot of an abandoned motel, filling the streets with giggles, we hear voices coming from the top second floor. The voices hadn't been loud to where anybody that hadn't been in the motel parking lot could hear, but they weren't quite soft enough where we couldn't understand any words.

"Shh, I hear someone." We hear one of the voices say.

I laugh quietly as me and Matt run under the steps.

"I wanna go up there and check it out." I whisper, leaning into Matt's left arm. "I mean, tonight we are being ambitious." He replies.

I smile before dragging him up the stairs quietly, turning the corner quickly so the people talking couldn't see us.

"I mean, she was a complete bitch towards me!" we hear a female voice, high and squeaky, exclaim. "And the shit she's done- oh my God- she deserves a punishment."

"And you wanna punish her by..." another voice, only deeper and more raspy this time, says. Matt and I move so we can see the voice's face, revealing a male's face, the back of the girl's blonde head being the only other thing visible to our eye. The guy looks around, causing me and Matt to scoot closer behind the wall.

"By shooting her?" he finishes lowly, my eyes widening.

"It's fine Dom, no one will ever find out." The blonde replies as we watch her pull out a black gun from her back pocket.

Dom takes a glance behind the blonde girl, accidentally catching my eye, but surprisingly not saying anything.

"Matt, I think we should go." "Annika, I think we should go."

"Glad we can agree, let's head out." Matt says, grabbing my hand and guiding me away from the two talking. Of course, we couldn't get away quietly and easily though. I trip over a random spray paint can, resulting in not only me and Matt falling to the ground, but an audible cackle of the metal can as it falls through the rusted railing of the balcony.

"Shit." Matt and I mutter as we scramble tostand up on our feet, we see two figures hovering above us.
