Pine paw felt someone's muzzle against his belly "wake up pine paw! sword claw wants to take you out for training!" the voice said he opened his eyes and saw badger paw standing over him. Badger paw didn't have the cleanest track record among the apprentices he was known for his terrible and unpredictable temper most of the other apprentices wouldn't talk to him in fact pine paw was the only apprentice that would ever approach and talk to him willingly which made them best friends easily they were the only ones in the den "what?" he said there was a flicker of annoyance in his eyes "sword claw's taking you out for training" he repeated. Pine paw got up immediatly jumping out of the den and dashing through the tunnel into the plains he didn't want to risk sword claw's anger more than he already did. Sword claw was waiting outside he gave pine paw a melting gaze if he had two eyes instead of one pine paw would be burning inside his fur. "your late." he said. Looking at him "you know how important it is for a warrior to be on time." he hissed. "yes sword claw...." pine paw said ok now come. he said walking away he lead pine paw to the bridge "come at me" he said Pine paw hesitated. "what?" he said stepping towards him. "YOU HEARD ME NOW ATTACK ME BEFORE I COME AT YOU MOUSE BRAIN" he said Pine paw lunged at sword claw. He was easily padded away. "come on barb clan is known for speed and agility! do you not have barb clan blood in you!" sword claw said. Pine paw ran at sword claw at the last second he jumped to the side. Kicking with his hind legs his legs connected with air. "better" sword claw said before trying to hit pine paw. He jumped over sword claw and landed behind him pawing him "good" sword claw said before picking him up by the scruff "let me go!" he said sword claw stopped and dropped Pine paw with a thud and sniffed the air. "Pine paw run!" he said pine paw bolted he had learned that when sword claw said something that he should do it many times. he sniffed the air and smelled what sword claw was warning him about.
