Mike looked around until he saw a boy sitting, seeming to have a study session set up at a table in the library, Mike walked over.

He looked different from the years before, he got rid of his bowl cut, he grew it out, it was kind of messy but it fit him.

“Hi, are you Will Byers?” Mike started smiling, Will had a straight face, not making eye contact.

“That I am, I don’t want any of this time to be wasted so I am just going to ask which classes are you struggling with the most.” He was firm, that was okay with Mike, he was hoping he’d be a little nicer but they weren’t going to be getting close.

“Well honestly, all of them, but I’m doing the worst in Math and the best in English.”

“Then you’re in luck because I am in math 4 so i’ve already done the stuff that you’re doing, and I know what works and what doesn’t.” He started flipping through a blue binder (BECAUSE MATH IS BLUE!!!)

“Wait, how are you in math 4, we’re only Juniors, don’t you take that senior year?”

“Well Michael, last year I took math 2 first semester and math 3 second semester in sophomore year so that I can have some time in senior year.”

“I guess that makes sense…” Mike kind of sighed, he thought Will was trying to be playful but like not really.

“So let’s get started on math, do you want to try and work on your homework first?”

“Yeah that would probably help as a start.”

Will got up behind Mike and pressed his body against Mike’s which made him blush. He was a lot stronger than Mike would have thought, he could feel the slight toning through Will’s shirt.

“So the algebraic model A-s^2 represents the area, A, of a square with side length s. Use this model to find the area of a square with side length 3 cm.”

Is this attractive? Mike thought to himself. It was odd, he didn’t expect Will to be his type, but here he was, blushing like a love struck teenager when this kid he barely knew was helping him with his math homework.

They worked through the homework for a long time, but their time together seemed to fly.

“I’m gonna be honest here, I didn’t feel like you were the type of dude to actually care about your grades, and let me help you.”

“Well I’m going to be kicked off the basketball team if I don’t get my grades up, and you’re a good teacher.” He gave a smile, and a good looking one too. “Why are you tutoring for free anyways?”

“Looks good on college applications.” Will shrugged and started writing something on a paper, it seemed to be more math.

“I’ve gotta go soon but you can text or call me if you ever need help with anything, homework, studying, whatever you need, you can just reach out and I can help.” He gave a nice smile and started to pack up his things.

“Can we do this? Same time tomorrow?”

“Of course we can! I’m encouraging studying as much as possible.”

“Great then it’s a date.” Mike smiled, then realized what he said. “I mean not like that, you know what I mean, like a planned thing.” He got flustered which Will found kind of sweet.

“Don’t worry Mike, I know what you meant.” Will laughed.

Mike wanted to crawl in a hole and die in that moment. I mean unless you want it to be. He refrianed from saying.

“You have a nice laugh by the way, really nice smile.” He’d only noticed because he was staring at his lips.

“Thanks, see you tomorrow.” Will walked away growing a smile that he’d held back that whole time.

~I really hope you like this, idk i just really like when one is popular and the other isn't. I will still be writing the other story Oblivious but I sometimes like to change it up hopefully I will upload a chapter every Saturday for this story, I think this is only going to be fluff not really any angst from what I've been planning so far these chapters are kind of short but will probably get longer, thank you so much for reading!~
