Proving yourself worthy

After the conversation with Eli, Vivian tried to be more friendly to everyone, and Eli convinced them to give her a shot. By the end of the week, she had finally at least somewhat, created some sort of friendship with everyone. She still had nightmares but now it was easier to cope, not without everyone being concerned though. Today she knew she'd end up breaking their trust, she had to for her plan, but she really just wanted to spend time with the Shane gang and become properly friends with them all. She grabbed her sketchbook and wrote out a note which she hid in her pocket. Right now it was Eli's shift and he was looking at one of Vivian's previous drawings. Suddenly, the alarm went off and Twist appeared. He kicked Eli's blaster away and broke open Vivian's cell. "Got my gear?" She asked Twist. He nodded. "Sorry Eli, but not really. I think it's time for me to go home." Just then, she subtly dropped the note on the ground and signalled to Eli about it. "It was fun earning your trust, but it's even more fun breaking it." She said. Twist then shot Loki and they both vanished.

"Ugh, that prison cell was so uncomfortable!" Vivian complained. "Why didn't you come sooner?" She questioned Twist. "Because you took to long 'befriending' them and lowering their guard." He responded. Vivian gave him a playful punch and laughed. "It's hard to befriend someone who literally bruised half your ribs." Twist laughed in response to that. "Anyways, I need to train, I've been in there a week unable to do anything! I'll probably see you tomorrow." She said. She grabbed her gear and ghouls and headed off. She was just practicing at the training grounds when suddenly her leg buckled. "Ah! Been awhile since that happened...guess that's what I get for doing nothing in that cell..." She continued training, her one leg occasionally buckling but she kept trying. It was starting to get dark when she realized it was almost time for her plan. She sighed and went back, dreading what she had to do. She went back to her room and grabbed a paper and pencil. She wrote a note for Twist and slid it under his door. She ran to Blakk's ghoul room and took 2 carriers of the best ghouls he had. She attached them to her mechabeast, and rode off. She arrived at the meeting place to be greeted by the Shane gang all pointing their blasters at her. "I'm sorry...I'm here to explain, so please just let me..." She said.

"I have 2 carriers of Blakk's best ghouls here for you to cure, and I want you to cure my slugs as well...I had Twist take me back so I could get them, my gear, and my mechabeast. I know I've done horrible things, but I'm gonna try and better myself, just give me a chance..." She said with her head lowered. Eli lowered his blaster. "I think...she's telling the truth." He said. He loaded up Doc and cured all the ghouls. Her slugs backed away in fear but didn't run away from her. "I know you all must hate me, and I don't blame you, so you all can go free now. Go have fun in the wild or find yourself a new slinger if you want, I never deserved you all..." She said with tears in her eyes. She closed her eyes to prevent herself from bursting out in tears right then. It was only when she felt a nudge on her leg did she open her eyes. She saw her freightgeist next to her. She started crying a bit and picked the slug up. "I don't deserve you, so why forgive me?" She asked. "I think she can tell your change of heart, we all can." Eli said as the rest of the Shane gang nodded in agreement. "So, do you have a name for her?" Eli asked. "No, but she deserves one. How about...Lilith..?" She said. The frieghtgeist nodded and cuddled up to her. "Then Lilith it is."

After that, the Shane gang took me in as family, despite everything I had done. All I could think about was how to redeem myself, that I forgot that I had left behind someone I cared for. My brother figure, Twist.

"So you mean to tell me Vivian just took off with the Shane gang?" Blakk questioned Twist. "Yep, if you don't believe me, you can read the note." He tossed the note over as he said that. "She apparently also took some of my best ghouls for them to cure, what a waste." Blakk said. Blakk dismissed Twist and he went to his room. 'She left me, she knows I don't want to join the Shane gang! I can't even trust my own sister figure!' He thought to himself as he read the note again. In a rage, he went into her old room and started trashing it, destroying everything he could. Then he saw a photo, a photo of them both the day Twist had become Blakk's new apprentice. He shattered the glass and took the photo out. He ripped it in half and tossed it on the ground before finally going back to his room.
