"It was you..." Mal said as she stared at Forte. Her expression changed from a look of realization to an expression of raw fury. "...I knew it! I freakin' knew it!" She stomped over to Forte while she pointed her finger at him, allowing her anger to boil over in that moment. "YOU'RE the reason my parents broke up in the first place! I had a feeling you were behind it, and I was right! You couldn't stand seeing my parents together after the first Blood Moon Ball, so you concocted a scheme to break them up so you could make a move on my mom! But you failed because even after they split, my parents still loved each other deep down and you couldn't do anything about it!" She stopped a few feet in front of him, leaned down until she was nose to nose with him, and glared at him straight in the eye. "Isn't that right?"
"Hold up, hold up... WHAT?" A new voice shouted.
Mal turned around to see a boy about the same age as her standing in between Pain and Panic with a shocked and angry look on his face. It was Mal's younger brother, Hayden, and he had just heard everything she had said. He started to make his way over to them as he rolled up the sleeves of his jacket; he kept his eyes on Forte.
"You mean... you went out of your way to deliberately LIE to Pain and Panic to make THEM lie to our parents to make them BREAK UP just so YOU could get with OUR MOM?!" He shouted as he stopped next to his big sister.
Forte stayed silent for half a minute, but he eventually relented. "Yes, it was me. I did it. I told Pain and Panic that silly story that if Hades and Maleficent stayed together, it would be the end of the world, which wasn't true of course. And I advised them to make up stories about your father cheating on your mother and vice versa and I even altered those photos for your father's idiotic minions so I could have a chance with your mother... So what?" He spoke without an ounce of remorse or guilt for what he had done while staying calm and collected.
Mal's eyes glowed bright green and Hayden's hair began to flare up, clear signs that their anger was quickly rising. They glanced at each other and nodded; even though they haven't spoken to each other in a very long time, Hayden and Mal were still brother and sister. They turned around to face their parents.
"If you'll excuse us..." Mal calmly said with a smile before she started to wheel Forte back towards the castle doors. Hayden then grabbed Fritz by the collar of his shirt and dragged him along before they all made their way inside and shut the double doors.
Even though the doors were closed, everything that was happening behind them could be heard clear as day. There was mostly shouting and screaming from Hayden and Mal, but there were also quite a few thuds, crashes, and bangs every now and then.
"This is for my childhood!" Mal's voice screamed followed by a thump and a yelp from Forte.
"This is for wasting our time!" Hayden's voice shouted as Fritz cried out followed by a bang.
"This is for keeping my brother and I apart all our lives!"
"This is for the all pain you caused!"
"This is for ruining with our relationships with our parents!"
"And THIS is for EVERYTHING ELSE!!"
At that moment, a loud boom was heard followed by a deafening roar and a pair of terrified screams. After a long minute of silence, the doors opened and Mal and Hayden reemerged, letting out deep sighs of relief; Mal was smoothing out her dress and hair while Hayden rolled out his sleeves again and dusted off his jeans. Everyone stared at them with wide eyes, wondering what they could've possibly done to Forte and Fritz. Then a pair of figures came stumbling out; it was Fritz and Forte. They were covered in food, punch, and napkins and they both had traumatized looks on their faces.
"Uh..." Fritz whimpered as he and Forte glanced at their attackers.
The pair of siblings turned their heads in their direction and a sinister glare followed by an animalistic snarl from both of them was enough to scare the father and son duo out of there and across the bridge towards the Isle of the Lost. Hayden and Mal shared a quick chuckle before they high-fived.
"Nice going, sis." He said.
"Thanks, bro." She replied.
Maleficent and Hades could only stare at their children with huge, proud smiles plastered across their faces.
"That's my boy!" Maleficent cried.
"That's my girl." Hades chuckled.
The couple walked up to their children and held them close in a big group hug; Ben and his folks happily watched from another corner of the area.
"Well, now that that's taken care of, what do you say we keep this party going?" Evie asked; the assembled crowd cheered in response. Evie grinned and nodded her head at Carlos who smiled and started playing a very upbeat song.
"From the North to the South
From the East to the West
Lost boys, lost girls
You all know you're the best
Hit the streets, it's your day
Turn it up, now's your chance
It's time to get up on your feet and dance!"
The moment the beat dropped, everyone made their way out onto the dance floor and to dance, including Mal, Hayden, and their parents. For the first time in basically forever, the four of them were all together and having a good time. Mal and Hayden watched happily as Hades lifted Maleficent off of the ground and spun around with her.
"This is so weird. You realize that, right?" Hayden asked.
"Yeah, but you have to admit it. They make a cute couple." Mal replied, nudging him in the ribs.
He chuckled. "Yeah, they really do. But what about Pain and Panic? What are we gonna do about those morons?"
"Them?" She turned to see Pain and Panic doing a very awkward dance while their sons laugh at them in embarrassment. "Why don't we deal with them another day? For now, let's just enjoy this ball. It's not every day your parents get back together after so many years, you know."
"Agreed." They smiled and bumped fists.
"You really want to try this again?" Maleficent asked, almost sounding unsure.
"Of course I do, babe." Hades answered. "I love you. In fact, I never stopped loving you and nothing will ever change that."
She blushed as a tear started to roll down her cheek. "I love you too, you big blue-haired lug."
He held her in his arms bridal style and they touched foreheads.
"It's good to be bad
And we're proof of that
Used to be lost, now we're on the map
Used to steal stacks, now we're giving back
Remember that
It's good to be, bad
If you got pride
Raise your V's up high
Wave 'em wide, side to side
Feel the vibe
It's good to be, bad"
As the song came to a close, the villainous couple shared a passionate kiss and the crowd cheered.
