Third Person's POV

At the Decathlon, the students are scribbling. The purple energy core is glowing in Wyatt's pocket.

"There's a vehicle approaching on your right." Karen says as Peter grunts, and climbs on top of the cargo.

"We have now entered sudden death." The Moderator says as the students prepare themselves, trying to be calm and pacing their hands on their buzzers. Flash takes a deep breath, clearly nervous.

"The next correct answer wins the championship." The Moderator says as Wyatt hits the answer bell with a bored expression on his face

"Midtown Tech?" The Moderator asks.

"Zero." Wyatt says.

"That is correct. Midtown takes the championship." The Moderator as Ned hugs Wyatt and he smiles. More Midtown students pile in for a group hug.

The Midtown High students are walking towards the Washington Monument.

"We won!" Wyatt exclaims.

"You guys, I am so proud of you." Liz says, as Wyatt smiles to himself.

"Told you we didn't need Peter." Flash says as Ned and Wyatt both give him a look.

"Bro, you didn't even answer a single question." Wyatt says as MJ is standing alone with a book.

"Taking it all in, Michelle?" Mr. Harrington asks.

"Oh, yeah. I just...um, I don't really want to celebrate something that was built by slaves." MJ says.

"Oh, I'm sure the Washington Monument wasn't built by--" Mr. Harrington says as he looks up at the monument. A part ranger wobbles his hand as a confirmation to MJ's words. Mr. Harrington purses his lips and walks away.

"Okay. Enjoy your book." Mr. Harrington says.

"Thanks." MJ says before going back to her book.

Peter is swinging on a bus, and he finally reaches Ned on the phone.

"Oh, Ned you're alive!" Peter says as Ned is at the Washington Monument, about to get a security check.

"Peter, are you okay?" Ned whispers.

"Ned, Ned, where's the glowy thing, the glowy thing?" Peter asks.

"Don't worry. It's safe. It's with Wyatt in his backpack." Ned says as he puts his backpack down on the conveyor belt for an X-ray security scan.

"No, Ned, listen! The glowy thing is dangerous." Peter says.

"You missed the Decathlon. I covered for you." Ned says to his best friend.

"Ned, listen to me!" Peter says slowly, getting impatient.

"We're at the Washington Monument now. You gotta--" Ned says before he could finish Liz taking his phone.

After talking to Liz, Peter wanted to talk to Ned, but he didn't have the chance. Then she hung up on him.

Ned walks through the scanner, and moves to collect his backpack. The X-ray scanner screen buzzes.
