Chapter 12

Diana's P.O.V

Currently I am making my way towards the canteen. I see Cody and Caitlyn sitting in our usual place at the corner. After taking my lunch I head their way.

" Hey guys " I said while keeping my tray on the table.

" Hey " both of them said in unison.

" You didn't meet me after my performance Cody. Where were you? " I asked Cody while taking a bite of my pizza.

" Uhmmm I, actually-" Cody said while looking here and there nervously " Actually I had to go meet my Biology teacher urgently. Yeah, I had to go meet her."

" Oh ok " I said uncertainly.

" So Diana, one of my classmates told me that the school is organising a camping trip to some forest like place this weekend. So it's like we leave on Saturday and we will be back by Sunday. So... I was thinking Cody, you and I could go for it. It would be great fun." Caitlyn said.

" Uhmm really sorry but I am not in the mood to go camping. You guys go ahead." I said.

" Come on Diana. It will be loads of fun." Cody said.

" No guys really I - "

" Pleeeeeease." Cody and Caitlyn said together while giving me the puppy dog eyes. Gosh who could resist them?

If I would go for the trip I would most likely not encounter that jerk and it would maybe make my mood better. " Ok fine" I said finally giving in to their request.

" Yay!" Both of them said while giving a high five to each other. I just smiled and continued eating my pizza.

After we finished eating all 3 of us gave our names for the camping trip. Today was Wednesday so I had 3 days to pack my bag and get ready for the camp. I just hope this camp thing will be fun.

" Did you take the torch, and the first aid kit, and the biscuits, and the sleeping bag and-"

" Yes Mom. Everything is packed." I said cutting her mid-sentence. Today is Saturday and currently I am just putting the last few things in my bag. Thursday and Friday went by quite quickly and I didn't encounter Royce these 2 days and neither did he attempt to talk to me. Thank the lord for that. However I couldn't escape the occasional glances and winks that jerk used to give me in Music class.

" Hurry up honey. You have to be in school by 8 " Mom said.

I quickly picked up my bag and went downstairs. Mom dropped me to school and I went to give my attendance to the teacher. Many students were walking here and there searching for their friends. There were about 30 of them.

After giving my name I searched for Cody and Caitlyn and found them standing near a tree. I walked up to them and we chatted for about 5 minutes or so until one of the teacher asked us to start boarding the bus.

There were 2 buses. All the populars and jocks were heading to one bus and all the normal and nerdy people in the other. Obviously we started moving towards the bus where sane normal people were going.

Cody and Caitlyn went in that bus but when it was my chance the teacher said " Sorry child, this bus is full. You will have to go in the other one."

After hearing her say that my eyes were as wide as saucers. She expects me to go in that bus where the populars were sitting, not to mention that they hated nerds, especially me. They would undoubtedly tease and taunt me and like always I would be alone without anyone to help me. Oh God! What do I do?
