King P.O.V
It's been almost a week since me and Ban went to the Fairy King's Forest and right now, I'm only with Jericho and we're returning back to Liones Kingdom where the others are while on the other hand, Ban insisted on staying at the forest to protect it... Or so he say... Well It can't be helped since I also want him to protect the forest on my behalf.
"Oy! Oy! Hey are you there?! Can you hear me?!" as Jericho waves her hand in my face. "Are you okay? You're been dozing off since we left the forest. What has gotten into you?" Her shout wakes me up from my deep thought. "Huh? Oh yeah, sorry. I was just thinking something....." I said. "Is it that important? You've been like that since we left. Your weird".
Harlequin!! You dream of dozing off while your dozing off. You really like dozing off....
"Y-Yeah..."
Actually, I was thinking what would Diane say if I came back? Will she be angry and sad that I left? Or will she be happy that I left in the first place?
"Ahh!!!!!" I shouted. "E-eh?!! W-what are-what has gotten into you?!!" She exclaimed as she knocked my head.
As she continue lecturing me in the middle of the road, I heard civilians talked about something..... "Hey did you know? The new Holy Knight is already been assigned as Diamond! And on top of that they said that she's very smart and she's a real chick!" He said. She? So the new knight is a girl huh? Hmm....
"Anyway, let's go back. Probably you should also go back to the castle. Guila and the others should be looking for you. While me, I'll go back to the Boar Hat." I said. "You sure your okay? I can't leave you cause maybe when you doze off you might bump into someone and get into a fight." She replied. "Yeah, yeah." And then both of us parted ways.
-Boar Hat-
As I stood in front of the door of the bar, I took a DEEP breath. "I-I'm back." I said while opening the door....
~STARE~
"U-Um.... Did I interrupt something?" I said in a confusing tone.
*Tap* *Tap* *Tap*
~Hug~
"E-Eh?!*blush* Di-Diane?!! W-W-What are you doing?!!" I said. "Idiot." She replied. "King, where were you all this time? And where's Ban?" Captain said worried. I released myself from Diane's hug and bowed down to Captain. "I'm so so sorry Captain for leaving without telling you. I-I just followed Ban to the Fairy King's Forest." I said. "But why?" Captain asked. "He-I mean we wanted to restore back the old forest that was destroyed years ago by a demon. A-And Ban insisted on staying at the forest for him to protect it and Elaine. I'm really sorry!" And I bowed down again. "Well, I guess it's fine as long as your back safe." He replied. As we finished talking, I saw Diane crying in the corner of the bar and at her side is the princess signing me to come at her. She told me to go outside for some talk.
"Lord King." She said. "Y-Yes?!" I was curious when she smiled right back at me. "You know, when you and Ban left, everyone was so worried that where could you be, especially Diane herself."
E-Eh?! D-D-Diane?! She-She's worried about me? C-C-Could it be that her memories.... N-No that can't be! And on top of it, t-that's impossible!
Due to my DEEP thinking, I didn't noticed that I left the princess hanging.... "L-Lord King?" She asked. "E-Eh? Oh! I'm so sorry I spaced out!" I really hate myself..... ~sigh~ "Well I guess I'm happy to hear that she's worried about me... I mean about us!" I continued. I'm a complete idiot. While me and the princess are talking, I heard a rustle of bushes in the near forest.
~rustle~ ~rustle~ ~rustle~
"Who's there?!" I asked curiously. Little seconds passed, I saw someone coming out of the dark..... It was a girl. "Good day." She said.
