Chapter 12- The Last

King P.O.V.

"I remember..." She said. "C-Come again?" I asked. I don't know where this is going but I've got a bad feeling about it... "I..... remember the times we've spent in th-the past. E-Every last detail." She continued. "During our last battle, when I was in the verge of death, you were there to save me. Because of your great perseverance and strength to fight, it reminded me of someone in the past, he was so kind, caring and strong enough to face his problems. That's when I realized that he came back, no, he was there standing in front of me. The fairy whom once I've saved from drowning into a river. The Harlequin I knew, was there." She smiled. I feel so ridiculous. I was standing beside her almost to cry. She looked at me so dear like she was telling me, 'It's all right'. Tears started falling in me. And then I cried. "I'm sorry... ~drop~ ~drop~.. I'm so so sorry... I-I didn't mean to hide it from you, I just can't find the right moment to say it.. I'm so sorry." I beg for her apology. I was there crying and I can't even hear a single move from her. "I heard you kept our promise all this time." She said. "Of course. It's a promise right?! I'll do whatever it takes to love you...." I smiled. She's not even answering... What's going on? I looked at her eye. She was looking at the ground. It was only me and Diane, standing beside each other quietly waiting who might make a sound first.

~SILENCE~

This is taking too long than I expected! And on top of it, it's so awkward!

Maki P.O.V.

"They're actually taking too long just to talk." I said. "Maybe Lord King hasn't found Diane yet." Replied Elizabeth. "Nishishi.." Meliodas laughed. "Don't think indecent things Lord Meliodas!"

Actually I'm kinda getting worried.... What's gotten in those two?

Diane P.O.V.

I looked straight at King's crying face and smiled, "I guess we're even." He also looked at me confused. "What I meant to say is, both of us made a mistake and that made us even, no more apologies." I continued. He smiled back.

We went back at the Boar Hat. I can't open the door because my hands are really shaking. "What's wrong Diane?" King asked. "I-I-I-I-It's just....," I looked at him, "I'm shaking really hard!" I said. "D-Diane.....? I-It's fine. J-Just ignore what they'll say! Y-Yeah that's it!" He replied trying to figure out how to make me calm down. I made a deep breath, then touched the door knob, stir it, and I slowly opened the door. Everyone was looking at us..

~STARE~

"Again with the staring!" King exclaimed. "Diane! Lord King your back." Elizabeth said coming towards us. "Took you long enough." Captain added. "Oh yeah! Maki, do you have a minute?" King asked. "Sure." Maki answered.

-Outside Boar Hat-
Maki P.O.V.

"What do you wanna talk about?" I asked. He took a deep breath and said, "D-Do you know about that power resting inside of you?" He asked. "Yeah. Pretty much." I replied with confusion. "It's... You know... It's.... Actually dangerous and it has a large presence which many will mistaken you and they'll be frightened by your.... power." Eh? What is he trying to say now...? "Well, it's not like I want you to leave or anything.... I-I'm just warning you about the danger that.... you know... ordinary humans will get if that power of yours..... um... gets out of control." What now? I'm definitely confused at the moment he said those words.

Meliodas P.O.V.

"I can't believe I'm seriously eavesdropping...." I whispered. "And on top of it, I can't believe King said what I said to him."
