Finney's POV:
Everything was going so well today.
Keyword: Was.
Vance took me to the little corner shop with the pinball machine. He bought me a slushie and chips and I watched as he played pinball, on the verge of regressing.
Everything was going so well today,
and then it wasn't.
Next thing I know, I've been pushed into the machine, Vance lost the game and kids were either laughing or trying to get out of Vance's way.
I don't remember much else other than screaming. Vance knew about my dislike for physical violence, so I guessed he restrained himself.
Vance put his hand on my cheek, I think he is saying something, I don't understand though.
"Bubba..." I whisper.
His look softens even more, and I've been picked up and placed in the passenger seat of Vance's car.
Everything was going so well today,
and then it wasn't,
but I'm pretty sure it will be ok again.
