Saying I am just excited would be underestimating . I am way beyond excited ever since I came back a year ago after completing my post graduation in London .
It was always my dream to work in one of the top companies and make my parents proud of me . I would have worked in one of the company in London itself but my parents insisted that I should work in India .
I agreed because it would mean I can be more close to my family and with my degree I could still get a well paying job .
Right now I was standing infront of one of the top most company in India 'KHANNA INDUSTRIES' . The one which is always in top 3 and fighting for the first position with 'MALHOTRA INDUSTRIES' and 'KAPOOR INDUSTRIES' .
2 days ago I received a email which said that I passed the final interview and was supposed to start working for today onwards .
I took a deep breathe and then headed inside .
Entering I go to the receptionist desk .
"Excuse me?",I say and the receptionist whose name is Priya looks up from her computer .
"Yes mam how may I help you?",She asks .
"Can you please tell me which floor the Human resource department is?",I ask her .
"Mam it is on 10th floor",she tells me and then tells where the lift is .
Thanking her I head towards the lift and go to 10th floor .
And not long after that I am greeted with my new co-workers .
There were so many but I closely got to know the Head of the HR department who was a lady in her late 30's , Mehek who was working here since the past 2 years and Piyush who was working here for the past 4 years . Mehek and Piyush were the only one who initiated a proper conversation with me while others just welcomed me . Along with me there were other two new people who joined with me Diya and Shobit . Like me Mehek and Piyush were the first one to initiate a proper conversation with them and others just welcomed them .
The head of the department Priyanka guided the three of us too our table which were near Mehek and Piyush's table .
"Hey I am glad you 3 are near our table",Mehek said .
"Yeah people here are boring",Piyush said .
"Don't other people talk to you both like I mean other than the business stuff?",I asked .
"Nope only me and Piyush are the ones who are close friends",Mehek said .
"And other have friends too but they aren't close like we both",Piyush said .
"Does this means they are gonna talk to us only when it's about business?",Shobit asked.
"Fortunately yes",Mehek said .
"I know we are here to work and not make friendships but still how all can they survive like this?",Diya said.
"I know right ? Never seen people like them",I said
"Is it like this in the Human resource department only ?",I asked and Piyush and Mehek nodded.
"We talk to other department people during lunch only other than that we all don't get the time to talk",Mehek says .
