~Maddison's pov~

I was sat in Ward's bunk, well reading my book still confused on where we're going and why, until the door slid open

"You alright?" Ward asked standing in the doorway

"Yeah" I answered as he passed me a bottle of water "Now, where the hell are we going?"

"We're going to a diner in L.A and Skye gonna decrypt the drive and then we'll take it to Garrett" He told me, I nodded

~Time Skip~

A couple hours later after the plane landed and waiting in Ward's bunk for like ever. I heard the ramp for the cargo hold lower, I opened the door to Ward's bunk and walked out, and walked to the loft of the cargo hold

I looked down to the cargo hold and I saw an unconscious Skye laying on the floor and Ward and Deathlock talking "You should be thanking me. I saved your ass" Deathlock said to Ward, as i walked down the stairs

"You didn't save my ass. You turned it into a public spectacle" Ward told him

"You let her get one over on you" Deathlock ripped "That's exactly what Garrett was afraid of" as I reach the bottom of the stairs

"And Garrett told you to stay out of sight"

"He ordered me to shadow you and Maddison, he knew you had a soft spot for Skye and she might take advantage of it"

"Well, he was wrong" Ward told him, as i noticed that Skye was now awake "We have her and once she gives us the location, we'll be off"

"Yeah, that's not gonna happen" Skye spoke up and she stood up

"Take a walk, I can handle this" Ward told Deathlock

"Can you?" I asked "I don't think you have so far"

"And you" Ward said, I rolled my eyes and walked out following Deathlock out

~Time Skip~

"Time's up" Ward said to Skye as we walked back into the cargo hold "You can tell me where to unlock the drive, or you can tell them"

"Mike" Skye said to Deathlock and looked at him "Please I know you don't wanna do this"

"It's not up to me" He told her

"Yes, it is, I don't care what they did to you. You're still Mike Peterson. You're still a feather. You have a son"

"Who I left in your hands" He told her, as I leaned against the lab's door frame "I asked you to look after him, Skye. Where is he now?"

"He's with his aunt, under the protection of a S.H.I.E.L.D. team-"

"And what is S.H.I.E.L.D. today? Hydra can hurt my son anytime they want and if i get any funny ideas about rescuing him, they push a little button and blow a hole in my skull

"Fitz-Simmons will figure out a way-"

"No. there's no way out of this, Skye" He told her and step closer to her "Tell us how to unlock the drive"

"No" She answered, I scoffed

"Damn it Skye" Ward spoke up

"You could've shot me back in Italy but you didn't, they made Quinn do it because there's still good in you, Mike"

"Yeah because he has these things called order" I muttered

"And I don't think you're gonna hurt me"

"You're right. I won't hurt you" He told her and turned around to me and shot me with something in the chest. I started to feel pain in my chest and couldn't breath and fell to the floor

"Maddison!" Ward yelled "What did you do?"

"Stopped her heart" Deathlock told them

"Her heart..." Skye started

"Isn't beating" Mike finished "She's having a heart attack. I can restart it, or not. It's your choice" As i was gasping for air

"Skye" Ward said to Skye worried

"You think I don't wanna watch her suffer?" Skye asked

"Not suffer die. Garrett doesn't think you're gonna let that happen"

"She's a murderer"

"Yes, she is. Are you?"

"Skye!" Ward yelled, but she didn't answer "Skye!"

"Ok, stop" She said

"Where do you unlock the drive?" Mike asked

"Bring her back!" Ward yelled

"Where?"

"35,000 feet. It's not based on longitude or latitude it's altitude" Skye told him

"You're lying"

"I'm not!" She yelled "I put password in, and start the hack and once we reach altitude, it unlocks"

"Now bring her back!" Ward yelled, the pain stopped, I took of gasps of air as my breathing was heavy and Ward ran over to me "It's ok, it's ok" as he moved some of my hair out of my face

"I'm gonna kill him" I muttered to him

"Put the password in. Start the hack. No tricks" Mike told Skye, as Ward pulled me up and Mike walked back into the cargo hold

"You son of a bitch" I said to him weakly

"Get the plane in the air" Mike told us

"I can barely stand" I told him, he flicked his finger and i felt a shock in my chest as i stood up straight

"That should help" And he walked away, I pulled the device off of my shirt and broke it

Me and Ward walked to the cockpit as Ward sat in the pilot seat and I sat in the other and Ward started the plane, but there was a smaller plane in front of us

"Maria Hill to S.H.I.E.L.D. 616. You have 30 seconds to stand down and surrender" As me and Ward put our headsets on "I repeat, stand down and surrender" But we didn't answered "You gonna answer me, Ward, Maddison, or i do have to come over there?"

"Maria Hill. I kind of hoped you went down with the Triskelion" Ward said into his headset

"And i hoped you two weren't the duplicitous lowlife you turned out to be, but here we are" Maria said, I rolled my eyes

"Gonna be honest with you, Hill, I'm having a pretty bad day. So if I were you, I would get the out of my way" I answered

"Mmm, give up Skye, and we'll talk about it"

"Yeah, that's not happening" Grant told her

"You know I never liked you, Ward. Not since our first sit-down, but I never figured you or Maddison for John Garrett's lapdog"

"A lot of us lost respect for Fury when he picked you as his second" Ward replied

"If he needed eye candy around, he could've at least picked Romanoff" I finished

"That's funny, I'll tell her you said that" She told me "Now hand Skye over or I'll have squad of F-16s knock you on your ass"

"Even if you had that kind of pull anymore, which you don't, Coulson would never let you do it. He would never sacrifice Skye like that. But you know Garrett would. So don't try and follow us" I replied

"This doesn't have to go down like this, Maddie. You don't owe Garrett anything"

"You're wrong" Ward spoke up, and Ward start to fly the plane into the air

A couple minutes later, one of the alarms started going off "Shit" Ward said and flipped one of the switch turning on autopilot and quickly got out his seat and ran out
