I'm amazed by how good the tricks are performed... Although there must be some trick to let that little jester float in the air, some invisible strings maybe... I will remain here to ask for a report about the tricks to the mage... The only problem is I don't know his name... Well I'll ask him personally!.

The show ended with him doing a flip over a ring of green fire, so cool, but yet so mysterious, as everyone was going out I instead went to the backstage, that... I didn't expect was that big, it's an infinite extension of pavilion points and other tribunes in more than a floor, but I just kept walking to a room, with a star on it, a gold one, I was about to reach my hand on it, but a step behind me gave my spine chills.

The guy that directed the show, curly hairs, a top hat, young in my opinion to be so skilled, but the thing that really makes him weird is the fact his right eye is a hypnosis spiral, painted with some black that made the form os some sort of tear
"Hi! I'm Alley Campbell, reporter of the local news! I was about ask..."
"Why did they send a girl?" He made my heart beat of fear as he started to get more and more close to my eyes, making me startled and forcing me to lose eye contact.

"That's why you little princesses shouldn't be roaming around in search for news" he muttered going the other way as I sulked and screamed
"Hey! I'm not a little princess! I worked hard for this position and I want to give proof I'm worthy of it" but as I was talking to his face, he didn't listen to me, his attention was caught by a... Black figure, I closed my mouth observing with him, but then all of a sudden he took me in his arms and brang me to probably his room, the one with the star.

"Stay here! I'll take care of it, and! And! Don't talk to Echidna" he slammed the door, as I was asking to myself who was Echidna
"Hi..." The cute voice called me, but as I turned the girl wasn't so cute at all, my eyes filled of fear for a second but when I saw her in the cage I knew everything was fine
"How unfortunate... You think of me as a freak too?"
"What!?" I asked without hearing what she said exactly
"Hahahaha! You will be a fine piece to add to our collection, welcome to the freak show".

I looked at her still horrified with the hands on my camera as with the other I searched for the door knob, reaching it I fell on the ground since I didn't take my eyes off from Echidna, fearing of her attacking me, but after I came out the situation wasn't as good either: the boy was fighting against the black figure from earlier, using the green fire... It was so charming to see, but all of a sudden another two big arms protected me.

"Ma'am, it's no place for someone who isn't used to the job, let me accompany you to the exit shall we?" The man, with red short hairs and only wearing a gym suit escorted me to the exit, but half the path another of those creatures blocked the way, and so we just came back, as the man was throwing fists at the monster he got me to the room next to the ringmaster, where all the other artists were there.

It's quite a funky group of people, but... What makes me freeze the blood is the fact all of this entities don't even seem like people, they have humanoid similarities but are far from being considered by me humans
"Hey! Welcome to the cirque!" A jester far more bigger than the other little guys greeted me, he had an unnerving smile, with sharp predator like teeth, two eyes with red pupils inside and a gloomy green contour, I wonder if I'm dreaming or it's all real.

I was scared, but seeing no one attack me I took a sigh of relief, but when I touched my chest there wasn't anymore my camera
"Where is it?!" Some small voices in a language impossible to understand started to go mouth by mouth, until the door opened and closed behind us
"You were searching for this?" I turned seeing the ringmaster making it float in his hands
"Hey! Hey, give it back, I need it, it's not mine I need to bring it back to the office else my boss will be mad".

Everyone looked at me
"Well, you can have it, but remember, no secret comes out of the cirque, not by word, not by any other kind of way, else you're near future might... Not be really bright"
"How dark?" I dared to say
"As much as a buried coffin" I went a few steps back with an akward smile showing my palms
"Ok I see! We're all good, I won't do photos! Promise ehehe..." They seemed satisfied with my words, so silence filled the room.

"So, I should go back home" a rocky noise made me fright, a bed, big, comfortable, out of nowhere added to the row of the way more poor and ruined ones
"You saw those monsters right?"
"Yeah, what are they?" He licked his lips
"You're too bold for a place like this who puts you out of the stage the first mistake" his words blocked me, he maybe was right, I risked my life for a few times, but somehow my luck saved me
"It's not luck, it's destiny that saved you".

Echidna, the serpent girl, had her cage suddenly teleported to the room
"I don't trust you yet... So we'll all sleep together for this night, now sleep, we'll think about it tomorrow" I didn't complain the choice, everyone executed the order, at last the lights went off and I could slightly hear the roars of such terrific creatures.
