Spring

Daffodils, Tulips, Hyacinths
But what are flowers
If not fleeting moments
Soft whispers carried away

                                                                  Gone

With the giggling wind
Passing through the still naked branches
Laughing as it blows away
The earthly facade of beauty

                                                                  Shattered

Hopes of colour and life
Bring back memories of better times
And still the stubborn Mother Earth
Turns the endless wheels of death

                                                                  Reborn

Like waking up from last year's dream
Born anew with passing time
Standing up despite harsh winds
Surviving through the coldest nights

                                                                   Waiting

In the snowy standstill
When the warm caress of rising sun
Brings another chance to try
Stronger and wiser than before
