3. Rainy Day

The clouds crackled and rain was pretty much pouring onto the mansion. It smacked against the windows. It rattled the floorboards. Water splashed onto the window sill and dripped through a small crack onto the wood. Arizona had put a towel down a little while ago when he discovered the leak.
The state watched it, arms folded, head on his forearms. Rain was something he usually didn't get to see. But it was monsoon season, and he was trying to soak up all he could get.
"Hey, Dixie wants us down for dinner." New Mexico gave him a rough slug on the shoulder, then put him into a rough chokehold so he would stop staring out the window.
"Ow! Uhg! I'm going! I'm going!"
"You said that 5 minutes ago."
Arizona glared at his twin as he stood up, rubbing his shoulder. "Well I got distracted. "
He took one last look at the drizzling rain as New Mexico gave him a teasing shove out their shared room door.
