Theo, Nick, Megan, Matt, Becca, and Sami all sat on chairs around Solomon's theatre room. Theo was zoning out while Becca was working on her AP Music Theory homework.
"Are you okay, Theo?" Sami asked.
Theo rolled their eyes and stuck out their tongue.
"So no," Nick said.
"Guys, did you hear about the MURDER?" Celeste said, literally popping out of nowhere next to them.
"Didn't she die?" Sami asked.
"Yeah, she fell off Building 6 last year," Nick agreed.
Celeste's cheeks went pink. "No. I'm alive." Celeste tried to sit on a chair but fell right through it. "This is all just... a pantomime. And I, um, forgot there was a chair here! But it's not real because this is just my pantomime project!"
"There are five rules of Pantomime," *teacher* said, appearing from behind a corner. He goes on a lecture that everyone ignores.
"Juno didn't do anything," Theo muttered.
"They definitely aren't doing anything right now," Megan said.
"Why not?" Sami asked.
"They're dead," Becca said without looking up.
"Oh. Right."
"RIP," Matt said. He ate one of the cookies he made in culinary.
Celeste sat on the floor until she fell through the floor. "She falls a lot," Nick observed.
"She does?" Sami asked.
"But who could have done it?" Theo asked. "It couldn't have been me. I was stabbed."
"I was playing XBox," Matt said.
"I was driving my car," Becca said.
"I was in Becca's car," Sami added
"I was on top of Becca's car." Megan added excitedly.
"I was dying," Nick said.
"IT WAS ME!" Celeste shouted.
They all looked towards her. She was holding onto the floor as if falling through it again. "No it wasn't," said Nick.
Celeste frowned. "I'm not dead..." she said sadly. She let go and fell through the floor again.
Everyone looked from one another suspiciously. Theo stole a cookie from Matt, who pulled another box out from his backpack. Becca finally finished question one on her music theory homework. Megan shouted in pain because she had no gallbladder. Sami was confused. Nick was having an asthma attack.
"Wait. This is getting repetitive," Theo observed.
"You're right," Nick agreed in sign language because he couldn't breathe.
"Nick, you're the only one that knows sign language-" Becca said incorrectly. Matt and Megan started cursing her out in ASL until she broke her pencil from writing too hard on her AP Music Theory homework.
"We need to spice things up," Megan agreed. She stood up and started singing Bet On It as an opera, including an interpretive dance.
"...and that is why I hate my Theatre 1 classes," *teacher* finished.
"Guys, I don't know about you, but I think this is all really sad. Ooh, do you think I can use this for my playwriting next year?" Sami said excitedly, but before she could finish her thought, she coughed. Blood and vomit spurted from her mouth and everyone screamed.
"HOLY SHIIIIITTTTTTTT!" Megan cried.
"NOT AGAIN!" Theo yelled.
Nick tried to yell but he passed out from lack of air.
"Did anyone see who killed her?!" Becca asked. Everyone shook their heads.
"It was meeeeee," Celeste said, floating up from the ground. She had now taken full ghost form.
"Celeste. No," Matt said. Celeste floated down under the ground in despair.
The remaining survivors looked from one to the other, each one not trusting the other. "Hey, want to have a party tonight?" Nick suggested. Everyone agreed excitedly and got ready to go to Pygmalion rehearsal. Except Matt and Nick.
