Full name: Anthony Baker

Nationality: Anthony was the son of slaves and was born in Florida, unfortunately it is not known which country in Africa they came from.

Birth: 03/12/1841

Anthony was born in Florida to Ceceilia Baker (name given by the family who bought her while she was pregnant with Anthony) and an unknown father.

His mother, who arrived at the Baker home when the Bakers' eldest son was just 7 years old, was left with the task of looking after the house and the couple's children Elizabeth and Joseph Baker, so that Joseph saw the growth of Anthony's from a young age.

The lady of the house was a kind woman by the standards of the time, and she saw no problem letting Ceceilia raise Anthony with her children, so from an early age Anthony learned to speak English and was learning the basics of working in the house, because, despite growing up luckier than the other slaves who worked on the family's plantation, he was still conditioned to forced labor by the white man.

After his parents died, and his sister married and moved, Joseph inherited the house and plantation, Anthony also lost his mother at the same time.

Joseph got married, and as his wife loved having flowers, he let Anthony do the gardening inside the greenhouse and occasionally Anthony was sent to the cotton plantation. As Anthony was a very fast learner and great with gardening shears, he was also in charge of cutting the hair of the other slaves, which was only beneficial to Joseph as it was a way of saving money.

Anthony was always serious, closed and inquiring, and even if he didn't show his questions to anyone, it was always in his plans to one day be a free man, and also to free his people.

When he was 20 years old, Anthony met Damien when he was tending the plants while Joseph showed the new guest the locations of the mansion. From the first time Damien saw him, he felt something different, and to understand that he tried to know him better but Anthony never let his guard down and got suspicious.

Gradually, Anthony began to trust Damien more, and knowing that he was against slavery and that in his country it had already been abolished, his hopes began to rise.

The more the days passed, the more Anthony began to feel something more and more strongly for Damien, who always brought gardening books and helped Anthony read and write.

During the night or when Joseph was not around, Damien would sneak out of his quarters to meet Anthony and the two would leave the mansion together without anyone noticing, and on an afternoon with the sun setting for the arrival of night Damien promised Anthony that he would do what he could to change that reality with his beloved.

Damien then handed Anthony a ruby ring, symbolizing and sealing everything they felt for the other.

On an afternoon of 12/31/1861, Joseph caught Anthony wearing the ruby ring and even with Anthony refusing and denying it, he falsely accused him of having stolen it from someone in the family or even Damien himself, and fearing his life, under the man's threats, Anthony felt coerced into saying about the two of them and even the plan to flee, which made Joseph feel extremely betrayed by both parties, in addition to the fact that this was already a suspicion he had for realizing how much the two were close.

Joseph, in a moment of pure rage, dragged Anthony to the room where Damien had stayed, and taking advantage of his absence attacked the boy who tried to defend himself as best he could, ending up cutting his face making him even more angry.

Joseph then looked him straight in the eyes, and even after Anthony's pleas, he pulled out a gun and fired a shot which hit him precisely in the heart, causing him to die almost instantly.

What his killer didn't expect was that, even killing his body and desecrating it to the point of using it as a weapon against Damien, Anthony would come back charging for revenge, but this time no bullet would be able to hit him.
